You can get better deals than that… but overall our phone plans are a joke compared to american plans
$1 to text america. I don’t have a text plan (I’m Canadian…and virually all of my friends use blackberry phones, so we use blackberry messenger).
You need to all get the American phone of choice. The iPhone. That way you can use iMessage. Stop supporting that silly Canadian company - their day came and went

iPhone is a great device. Excellent if you don’t need to type on the device and don’t need instant email/notifications. Camera is amazing, interface with your computer is amazing…all around best device.
blackberry with a keyboard is far better for my needs. I don’t listen to iTunes or play video games on my phone. I phone people and I send about 30-40 emails a day from it. I also send 10-20 instant messages a day from it.
For my needs, the blackberrry kills the iPhone. But if I were a child entertained by angry birds on car rides, or if I was a student, or was unemployed or didn’t need to type messages other than short form middle school girl text slang, I’m sure an iPhone would be great.

You can’t say that the iphone is not ideal to type on. I used to have a Blackberry (one of those old ass dark blue ones) before the iphones came out and I was able to type a lot faster on the iphone. There is no effort needed to press the buttons and after a while, your fingers just start to do the work without even looking at it. My dad used a Blackberry for probably 6 years and he recently switched to an iphone and he like the iphone better. granted he was bitching nonstop about it for the first month.
one of those things you get used to. Blackberry needs to turn their company in the direction that the phone market is going if they want to survive. There is a cult following of old school business men that like their blackberry, but touchscreen devices are taking over fast.
Blackberry is just like Blockbuster. They had the niche product but new shit came out and they never bothered to swallow their pride and change things up. Same with Kodak.
nobody says typing on an iPhone is easier than typing on a blackberry with a proper keyboard other than iPhone fanboys. Then they all send you 2 word email or text replies to show just how ‘easy’ it is. lol.
My blackberry, for the record, has a full screen touchscreen and a pop out keyboard. I’ve used it for a year and I use the touchscreen when I need to be quiet. I also have an iPod touch. I’ve typed on that for 2 years. They fucking suck compared to the keyboard on a blackberry.

I said an iPhone is indeed excellent as long as typing isn’t the primary use of the phone. If you’ll read what I wrote, you’ll see that’s what I use my phone for most of the time. Thus I need the phone with the best typing hardware.
I don’t get apple fanboys. I have more apple products in my house (i would guess) than you do. I also recognize that some of them suck and some of them are good. I also recognize that some of them while good overall have their faults. Being a fanboy and making fun of other phones is about as ‘cool’ as putting that dirtbag sticker of the ford kid pissing on the chevy logo. Or whatever you want. It shows a lack of objectivity.
I’m not an apple fanboy at all. I like the phones but I would probably never own a mac. The iPhone and an old iPod touch are my only apple devices.

I’ll never get use to touchscreens because of their massive lack of versatility… I need something that works 100% of the time, a cold screen, damp fingers, having gloves on means touchscreens do not meet that criteria
