Digging the geeky numbers on the mpg. I’ll be curious to see my km to tank. I’m regularly around the 270km mark…which is spirited driving obviously. Hoping to net a few more Km to a tank.
Countvohn, what would i have to do? I realize where the TCU is and i need to pull the tranny. Im willing to pay my Mech to do it. Could it be sent or is this something that you need to be there in person for? If so would you be able to do it if you came to NY (say i pay for your way here and so forth?) or is this something im going to have to drive to Detriot for?
While Detroit is a 10 hour or so drive and i would consider doing it. It will of course come down to price and how much it will be for tune and trip (whether you come to me or i come to you). And if i come to you, you would be able to pull tranny and so forth? I realize this is alot to ask so if you would rather PM me or email let me know. I plan on purchasing headers early next year. That would leave me with everything i could do to my car except the blower.
I’ll let CV answer more of the personal questions but here is my take. He obviously works for SVT as his day job and I know some days he works like 18 hours most days. If your local he is always happy to help there are lots of guys here that I’m sure have been hekped. To be honest I don’t think he would drive to anyone. I think he would be loosing money doing that. Plus when he helps me and several other guys it’s st like 3am when he is free for a few minutes.
Im sure he is a very busy man. I would never has him to drive to me. IF he was able to come to me i would be buying a plane ticket round trip. I wouldnt want him to lose any money coming to me. (or ask him to drive that long drive just to help me with a tune. I would drive to him, or he could fly to me.
Sorry I was trying to say in a roundabout way. He probably isn’t going to help unless your here. But that’s just what I’ve seen from knowing him. Obviously he can say more what year is your car.

Its a 10hr drive (assuming we drive the speed limit) and it could be a fun weekend trip… i hate driving at night, so i would prob take a friday off and drive that day… and back on sunday.
I would just want to know the cost of the tune its self, and an estimation on related costs of instal.
