Damn. Ok Ill put up some more.
I work for ford SVT so it always starts with the cars there and works out from that spot. So I guess this post will get a little more in depth.
lightnings. yahha Ive had a few. Ran them all at the track. Im all about getting and building DD cars. No dyno queens that show well on the rollers but show up short on the street. The black one was wicked. I would just paint the street with tire marks. The truck had too much Tq. It never hooked up under say 35mph I could just free spin the tires till I peddled out the power.
I worked close with a friend that started diablo tuning to write some of the first tunes for the lightnings. Both the black and white one were 11/12 sec cars respectively. I tried to push the white one as far as I could without spending the same money over again that I spend on the black one. All was going well till the transmission went on strike after 6000rpm on big power hard shifts. At that point I just enjoyed the truck and let her Finnish out her life as a DD work horse that could still take down most of the competition.

It was in part of the lightning projects I worked on that helped lead the way for some of the NA stuff I later worked on.
I had the black one for quite a while. When the B5 game was talking off you would see me keep all our Audi friends in check when they would say how fast the B5 S4 was. When anyone would get too cocky about the B5 S4 and how fast it was. I would just go pull out the old lightning commence a proper old school chalk board lesson on hp and TQ.
Ill see If I can get more information up later.
PS. I could care less about punctuation. Im not at work and don’t feel like posting like I am. So excuse the loose grammer and lack of proper marks.
