Brian and VF? I have no clue since I never followed the S4 scene and only met Brian when I realized Rotiform was a few blocks from my office one day a few years ago and I was looking for aftermarket wheels for my RS. At most I am to rotiform what you are to JHM…a fan and now a friend.
I don’t have a problem at all with you Saki and enjoy reading your posts, but didn’t like seeing myself referred to as “whats his face from qf” when you’re obviously on that forum enough to know my name if you know what wheels I have and when I have them (and my name was also the post above you from Fazzio)
Again, it makes it seem you just have a dislike for anyone that posts on that site.
Yes, the lulz has slowed down there and with that, the forum itself, but it is a site that moves fast and is full of great contributing members as well.
This can be our formal introduction and I appreciate the compliments on my car. I’ve put a lot of time and work into it and plan to keep it for the long haul. i hope to be posting some more on your forum over here.

Still loving these Rotiforms and your unique choices in wheel setups. We build our cars the way we envision them, and that’s all that matters. We should all try to stay civil since we all share a common interest in this great automobile. No need for the he-said-she-said routine.

On a funny note, I have owned three of the C5 4.2 cars, and all three have had the tranny blow up. They are definitely not the strong point of the car.
You mean the S6? I bought it with the trans already gone. It has 323K on it, so that is probably about its third transmission. Audi recommends changing them at the same time as the timing belt.
C5 RS6 uses the 5-speed ZF 5HP24A tiptronic automatic. Quote from Scotty at Advanced:
The RS6 uses a 5HP24 which is the same transmission internally as the A8/A6 4.2. The difference is the torque converter size is borrowed from the A8 D2 W12 trans (which also was a 5HP24).
The RS6 have their fair share of trans issues too.
