I am disappoint
I MIGHT be able to do ATCO on Saturday. That’s a big mabe but I would like to try and make it. Dave, email off line if your positive you can make it Saturday. I’ll try and a get a few guys to join. It is last minute though and I may not have luck recruiting. All of this assuming I can actually attend myself.
Looks like rain showers both days (50%)- something to consider.

If Englishtown was open later in the season and didn’t rape you for track days it would be awesome. A full hour closer than ATCO, saves us (me more so) at least 2 hours in travel time.
How do they rape? What’s a track rental going to cost?
The rental day event that just took place with Kai, some GTR’s, the S/C’d M3’s etc, the one where Tsivas was a spectator…they charged $300 per person. That’s stupid. ATCO is not much better at $200 per person but it’s closer to reality. It’s more of a principle thing for me. It’s just silly.
Don’t they usually charge a daily rental fee + a ‘every car over # x’ fee?
That’s what most of the ones I spoke to were charging. i.e. $1500 for the track for up to 20 cars + $75 for every car over 20
Something like that. I’ve never seen a straight $300 per car. That makes no sense really.
ATCO is something like:
5 - 10 cars = $2,000.00 so at 10 cars it’s $200/ea
11-15 cars = $3,000.00 so at 15 cars it’s $200/ea
Essentially letting the renter know it’s costing a minimum of $200 per car.
Englishtown I’m not positive but I believe it is $300/car regardless of qty up to a certaim number of cars which they won’t let you exceed. Telling us that $300 is the minimum per car.
It’s ludacris to charge that much per car imo. I don’t care if “lunch is included” unless they are serving caviar in a closed container I can resell at $1,500/oz.
It’s a turn off for sure. I’d rather pay someone $100 per car for a runway event over a certified track that will cost us $200-$300 per car.
what if you have 50 cars…does it keep going up all crazy like?
those rates suck balls. I think when S6atron did the day at Ubly dragway it was like $60 each. NHRA Certified track I believe (or IHRA).
The NHRA certified St. Thomas Raceway (not sure if that’s it’s real name but people call it that) was around $60 each as well. Just outside of London Ontario.
I’m not sure about the limit to the number of cars that can participate or if the rate will scale accordingly. It should but something tells me these people are greedy fucks.
Chances are I couldn’t get more than 4 cars to join me for this Saturday so I’m waiting until the track reopens in Feb? March?
I’ll start planning now and try and get a bunch of cars to join and see if we can these numbers down. I’d feel bad even inviting people to a rental where they would have to shell out $200-$300 each.

We get five or six cars everytime without any work. People come from all over .
Bah doesn’t seem like it’s gonna happen… even tried to get a few of my buddies to come out this weekend but no one was interested. Weather kind of sucks too.
Go when you are guaranteed to have dry.cold weather…and plan it out a week ahead. Get a “what’s app” group and update WA DJ other on there and you’ll get it sorted.
