Audi Club NW's Verloren Gehen - Oregon Raceway Park

But yes, I always think of ways to go faster. I scare passengers on just how close I get to the apex (lol I had one seasoned person brace himself while he was riding).

Thanks for looking and for the constructive comments!

If anything, glad to have people visit the lonely ‘5’ forum and to know there’s a fellow race track enthusiast.

Next track for me is Laguna Seca next month! ;D

Psykhotik,

Good points - you’re right that video never does any justice to elevation change.
Also doesn’t help that one cannot “experience” the forces you are putting into braking. Sounds like you got it down packed. I didn’t know you were already running some serious pads (RP2!! and then later XP24!!! WOW!).
Those are some wicked pads and are greatly liked by the Mustang/American Iron/Boss 302 community. It works well for those cars–even in enduro races. But mind you, even a street weight Boss 302 weighs “only” 3640lbs. Not 4000 like the RS5 (give or take a bit!).

One thing for sure is that your driving style already is very suited to the RS5. You’re patient on entry and use the traction to your advantage on exit. I’m finding these nose heavy Audi’s to work best that way. I used to trail brake and rotate the car as I’m getting it to the apex, then unwind the steering and roll into the throttle. The Audi is reluctant the rotate in the same manner, and I’m still learning/adopting to drive this car in a manner which suits the chassis. It’d be great to see your next series of vids from Laguna.

You should start an alignment thread too when you get the RSS coils
I’m definiately changing my alignment. Stock toe is not working at all (for me).
