B7 RS4 + OEM Titanium Package wheels + MTM 10mm Spacers

roadforce is a balance process that’s a little bit different than regular wheel balancing. something to do with the wheels and tires rather than the wheels.

I believe ‘Road Force’ is the name of the type of machine used for this. Hunter might be the company.

Lower isn’t happening. It’s low enough, I get 6-12" of snow a few times a year, DRC is great, and I would hate having to deal with suspension and alignments etc. All of these things mean it’s staying put.

A lowered RS4 does look incredible though.

wonder what the b7 S4 would look like with some 10mm spacers in the rear with OEM +45 ET wheels.

Does the extra set come with bolts as well?

Agreed. The fronts are g2g. Having the rears track a hair wider than the fronts is better than the reverse.

it’ll still look bitch like. You need to go bigger

My old wheels were 18x8.5 (so 1/2" bigger thus 6mm ‘out’ more than stock) and ET38 (thus 7 mm ‘out’ more than stock) so that’s the equivalent of a 13mm spacer…and they STILL needed a ways to go. Probably another good 8mm on the rears.

So 20mm vs. stock on the rears on a B7. Of course the much better decision is to make the stockers your winters and get some nice 18x8.5 that are already a nice aggressive offset (i.e. 18x8.5 ET32 or something so you don’t have to mess with spacers.)

My old B7 S4 with the wheels in question (VMR708)…fronts were fine with these:

Yes I have the MTM 10MM on all 4 corners. IMO, the fronts actually look perfect while I think the rears could use about 4 - 6MM more in width to be perfect. I am slightly lowered, most people don’t realize I have coil overs because I’m just a tad lower than stock. I have run the car in a lower stance, while it looked fantastic it was a bitch everywhere I went (parking curbs, parking lot entrance/exits, speed bumps, snow, getting the car on ramps etc) so I went back up a bit. I’m contemplating dropping about a 1/4" all around in a month or two, letting it settle and then see where it’s at and how it works out.

Pics to follow, re: spacers.

cool

what tire size are you on? I want to grab 265 (30 or 35) or 275.30.19. I’m sure they’ll be fine at stock height with 10mm spacers.

OEM - 255-35-19.

are H7R spacers any good? looking at 15mm for the rear

Wow. NY 07, your car with 10mm’s all around looks perfect. Not to much, but jut right

Thanks man. A touch lower and I’d be set but I’m still debating…

NY07RS4 was right…I put the MTM 10mm spacers on the front and they look great. THe rears could definitely use a little more.

15mm rear + 10mm front would be great.

Have you removed the top bolt on the fender liner in the front? If not, do you notice any rubbing?

no
no

stock ride height, stock tire width. Doubt I would be in a position to rub with 10mm spacers.

I am looking to go 275 though. Hopefully still no problem.

Anyone know if MTM has a 15mm spacer option?

You might get some rubbing with the 275, but it will only be under hard cornering. I had spacers on my car when I bought it and it had NT05 275/30/19.

stock ride height?

thanks

Yes. You should probably remove the bolt anyways, doesn’t really do anything as far as I can tell. I would hate to bottom it out and bend the fender.

yeah stockimano, remove that bolt

I don’t know guys…that sounds like a mod. Then badbluers4 and his buddies will say I’m cheating.

I may actually be doing an exhaust mod here soon. No longer stockimano. I wanted to wait till I had the fastest stock time. Now that I’ve fone 12.75 hopefully that will be safe lol. Maybe end of summer I’ll have my first mod(s) done.

piggies w/ stock catback is my guess, maybe a tune too? It’d be cool to see a 12.5 with those mods and no carbon clean, good talking point with the ‘3.0T is king because I bought one’ crowd
