This is the new god’s tire. Nothing even comes close. RE-71R. I’m done with Cup2. Grip level is out of control.

West is it the compound of the tire or the tread pattern. What do you look for in getting a tire with better grip.
Tire compound and sidewall stiffness. They seem fine in the damp/wet also. Didn’t try in deep water.
Purchased the RE71R about a month ago, great tire. Used first time at Watkins Glen about two weeks ago couldn’t say enough about how they helped at first time road course car stuck like glue. Ran them 35/35psi first couple of sessions and then dropped them down to 31/31psi which helped me find the sweet spot and my pressures stayed at 38psi all of the next three sessions. Also, used at drag strip a week later, where I had to proceed and get used to the straight line traction they provide. Bogged first three runs with mash and go, so I had to up the rpms in order to get off the line decently…
Now on to another subject: StAssis Coilovers what’s the difference between the blue and red springs does anyone know? I’m looking into a used set with low miles or should I go with Bilteins PSS10’s B16 and be done with it…? What are the spring rates supposed to be for the StAssis suspension on the S4? They’re attractive to me because of the ohlin shocks.
