Bangoman.. is this your tablet?

Yeah that’s what I was thinking - 7". The Playbook might fit the bill, just waiting for some price drops for a used on kijiji.

I’m converting from BlackBerry to Android. Bora’s phone impressed the fuck out of me yesterday.

I’m looking at the Samsung Note, which is basically the same size as a plasma TV. Might be a bit cumbersome it will look normal in my giant hands.

The iPhone look like something the Samsung Note just shit out.

The Note is another pretty amazing phone. I was just saying to bora that the video quality on his phone is immense - I had no idea. We should’ve used his phone rather than my shitty 4 year old point and shoot for the vids.

its nuts eh? The sound is even good. Not terrible wind noise even though it was right across the track and straight into the camera.

That tablet is sick.

Saki- Check out the Droid Razr, I’ve had it for a few months now and I love it. Full 1080p and ton of other cool stuff, its pretty sick. I have to say 4g is pretty cool being able to watch netflix on my phone anytime is badass.

Can someone reccomend a cheap tablet that has win 32 bit?

I want LTE…and massive screen. Saw the razr today and it, along with the Samsung S2 and the HTC are very similar. All very capable obviously.

The Note just seems like a great option to use as a typing device. I hate screen typing so a big screen will make that much better vs. the tiny fucking keys on the iphone screen, which I consider utterly useless for me and my hands.

The note will also be a good tablet type device for viewing video, etc.

Wonder if we could get vcds to run off it somehow?

p.s. the processor in the 1.5 ghz. Is that for real? WTF. Phones are like as strong as computers were 5 years ago.

while this is probably true I wouldnt relate clock speed directly to processing power unless its the same architexture

bump,

sugguestions on tablet for VCDS?

I suggest a netbook. The Windows 7 tablets IMO are not that good as they have terrible battery life and bad interface. Alternatively wait for the Windows 8 tablets.

For vcds I just bought a 199 dollar netbook. Great option.

I too use a netbook for VCDS. I bought an Asus 1018p and love it.

Who’s excited for the iPhone 5? Apple has already started to bog down the regular iPhone 4 with the newer OS’

Speaking of iPhones. If you have the iPhone 4 you can join the class action lawsuit and get $15 cash settlement. http://www.appleinsider.com/articles/12/02/17/apple_settlement_for_class_action_suit_over_iphone_4_antenna_offers_15_or_bumper.html

got an iphone for a work phone, throughly unimpressed

Android is pretty cool. I think iPhone is far more ‘cool’ but the Samsung S2 that Bora had was thoroughly impressive. I also like that it’s not locked down and lame like iPhone.

The bigger screen on the Note will make touch typing easier that’s for sure. The iphone keyboard on the screen is thoroughly useless for me.

every apple product I use leaves me thinking they design the ui for children

touch typing is for apple useres!

Android’ers use swype!! even sausage fingers can swype with ease! ;D

I checked the note today its really a tad too big for me. but it IS a sweet looking pone. You could wall mount it at home and use it as a home theatre screen! ;D

I tried that sliding around business but it just didn’t work out for me. It was SlideIT keyboard though. Maybe I should try swype?

yeah give swype a try!

swype no good for me. Regular typing is better if the screen is big enough.

Note is mint. Now to find a deal on one without getting raped by my provider.

get it in white!
