Best Hypercar / Supercar ever?

Ya, it has always been there and I only edited the post adding the F1 / 959 to it. Most likely getting hits due to google searches

When I think of “best ever” it is best performance, best looks, best etc…so that rules out the 959 and F1 even though there were both the best in their time when they first came out.l

I’m sure I have this issue…i think they jumped the car for a picture or something.

edit here it is:

You know what I’d LOVE to have…more than the 959…any of the homologation specials they made for the group B rally rules. Specifically the ford RS200…killer killer car.

Data, today’s your lucky day:

http://bringatrailer.com/2014/02/10/s38b36-swapped-1988-bmw-m5/

This 1988 BMW M5 has 230k miles on the chassis, but the seller swapped in a 3.6L engine from an E34 M5 that now has 110k on it. The rest of the car appears stock and in good condition, and the seller has owned it since 2008. Find it here on Craigslist in Madison, Wisconsin for $7500. Special thanks to BaT reader Cameron P. for this submission!

Bigserve where did you get these 1/4 mile times?

The P1, LaFerrari and 918 all run in the 9s? I’ve never seen a video of them even running a 1/4 mile at all.

I’d love to have an E28 M5 sitting in an extra garage bay waiting for a Sunday drive. I see them pop up from time to time, although that one looks molested.

I almost bought one in January 1996. A United Airlines executive kept it at his house in the Chicago Loop. The car was perfect, but I backed out when my bank told me they could only provide an unsecured loan for an 8 year old car. Ouch. I bought a new '96 Jetta GLX VR6 instead (which the same bank gave me a their lowest rate for - those fuckers.)

As for the RS200… That is a special beast. Nice pic!

Isn’t the RS200 the car that has ~100 hours of engine life expectancy?

Yup
