Do you really care about that extra weight?
Imo this is what i would buy. Even with weight reduction, she is a big girl and needs the capacity. Your pads will last longer too. Until you get real rotor cooling i would aim for as much thermal capacity as i can

I don’t. I point it out in relation to the ultra light JHM rotors I had which cracked (the way that I was using them). Weight close to the center matters even less. The type V if I can get it should run cooler, make my pads last longer, and extend the rotor life. I’m willing to give this a go and not blow $12k on the CCM-R ceramics just yet, which will be a full 10 pounds lighter than the type V. If I get the full performance here this may work out long term.
Never tried it myself but cryo treating your new rotors is an option.
Preparing to switch to type 3 rotor.

Nice fingernails…I mean rotors

True story the only car part I’ve ever touched is the steering wheel.
Wow that’s impressive.
There’s a ton more rotor veins in there than the usual disc. Sure looks a lot more than 48 veins!

72 vein. The etching pattern is supposed to be pad-abrasive for superior initial bite and better ability to modulate-off. I think they might be 4 pounds lighter. The photo below has the aluminum hat the and hardware fasteners, which are probably about 2 pounds.
Looking good!any impressions?
The old rotor rings were 19 lbs without the hat, and I wore them under 31mm.
Not too bad. The weight difference isnt going to harm anything either. Clean looking
Short review: these are supercar brakes. My lap times dropped about 2 whole seconds at Laguna and I’m in the 1:43 range even with traffic. Highly recommend.
Brembo CCM-R rotor. It is literally $6000 vs $500 for a type 3 ring. The type 3 lasts about 20-24 track days. I estimate this would last 80-95 track days, so essentially the life of the car unless they were damaged.

How much lighter if any are they?
The brembo type 3 rotors were 4 pounds lighter than the brembo street rotor.

Thats a big deal right there. 4lbs off is a difference you can feel in the cars performance.
