Car leaking a fair anount of coolant..

Yeah it’s not too hard - should take a few hours if you don’t break any vac lines in the process. Definitely do the dye first before you go doing that though.

wait a fucking second…I missed this the first time.

you have a lift at home? EXPLAIN!

Yeah this guy has all kinds of crazy f’n cars in his garage too.

::slight_smile:

Ya we have a 4 post lift in our shop we built behind our house. Used it to help build a couple of cars.

And komesh, I don’t know how crazy the cars are

I had a few different coolant leaks at the same time
the upper and lower rad hoses on the d/s of the car
my tank cracked at seam making it look like was hose
and the oring on the temp sensor on the metal water manifold at back of engine went bad.

Good Luck

Well… Long day on the car. Got the new half shaft in, well kinda. Stripped one of the triple square bolts on the diff, so off to the stealership I go :(.

Anyways, to the topic of the thread. Started to tear into the back side of the motor to where all the coolant lines are. Probably only a quarter of the way in. However, underneath where the big hose is (the one komesh posted) meets the middle of the block appears to be my problem,

??? ???

Now is where I need to pick your brains… I can easiy tell it’s going to be a PITA, but any tips or ways o get down and take off that hose?

I think I found my leak. Now to get that god damn pipe out of there ???

http://audirevolution.net/addons/albums/images/956627168.jpg

Very impressive. Great work. Looks like you did find your leak.

Ya, that’s definitely the leak. However, for the life of me, I can not get that damn pipe off :frowning:

I feel like a lost puppy right now, I need my car!!! Haha.

did you ever get the pipe off. I remember that from taking my intake off. Isn’t there a connection to that where you can unbolt the pipe and then it should be a O ring that press fits in there

No, not yet.

I am now looking at accessing the failed o ring area by the pipe(hose) that runs into that main rear line. You think that might be a better idea? Anything will be helpful at this point.

So frustrated >:(
