comparing to the various stock/sline a6’s in the work parking lot they are more flared on my s6
What I don’t get is I’m seeing older 2007 (Ahem…) lesser stock models (A3, A4) with the newer shaped headlights - in fact they look better then the RS6 v10
I dunno - the rear quarters in particular on the RS are sexy AF. Got any pics of what you’re talking about plop?
This is a 2007/08 A3. The actual cavity and light design looks better - more modern and ‘snarley’ (to me anyway) than a 2011 S6/RS6.

It seems to me if you have to pay great attention to the face lift years when buying hi end models.
The first S6 I nearly bought was a early 07 As a clueless newb. I luckily fluked a late 2009 plate and got the face lift. Having studied the S6 I think the face lift makes the car look better.
I am confused about the RS4, seems to be a long gap on the B7 2006 to 2008 - what happend between 2008 and 2012? [url]https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audi_RS_4#B7[url]
ah I see. I agree, the 4 series looks a lot less “plain” than the 6. Almost like the 6 is a generation earlier. Especially the DRL’s. I’d love to have the RS flares though! subtle and badass… I wonder if the facelift headlights with the DRL’s would look ok with the prefacelift drl’s or it’d just look weird with 4 lines.
I’m a big fan of old stuff though - I kindof like the look pre facelift. Not sure I prefer one over the other, because honestly I’m in it for the V10 and the comfort level. The unloved by the masses yet really good performing cars seem to attract me the most. The F&F crowd probably won’t glance at this twice at Car&Coffee - and that’s great news. JohnnyLaw probably pays it about the same amount of attention as long as you’re not being a complete tool. Car geeks that know about this…know. If they don’t, they’ll catch a clue through that exhaust note.
With the RS6 fenders in mind, would it even be worth while to purchase only front fenders and disregard the rear since the quarter panel is actually connected from front to back? Would it look weird or out of place? I guess it’s all about perspective if you did go through with it and have a RS6 in the front and S6 in the back, lol.
From a cosmetic standpoint, I’d love to get the RS6 front bumper, grill, headlights and rear diffuser. Possibly the fenders too.
I think what makes sense is to take it in stages. Bumper is always the biggest bang for the buck. I think the rear end is wider stock by 2 inches if I’m not mistaken the data is on here somewhere with the body dementions. But take it in stages with the last one being the front fenders.
That’s a lot of dough! Lol. Also, notice how the “definition” goes through the quarter panel to the rear door.
You can buy a set of body panels, rear doors, etc on ebay for about $15-20k USD… If you’re set on having an RS6 that’s not actually an RS6, there’s your solution. Would probably make more sense to use that money to swap in an RS6 engine or just get the JHM S/C kit, etc when available.
No doubt! I’d rather have a sleeper RS6 than a faux RS6.
So is a JHM S/C Kit for C6 S6 a real thing? or just wishful thinking?
I want to say there’s some merit to the JHM S/C kit claim as I believe CountVohn has hinted at it before. And if I’m not mistaken, he works somewhat closely with JHM. So more than wishful thinking, but not necessarily readily available to purchase just yet… I have no idea how far along they are with it.

I know CountVohn did say they had a kit in the R&D stages. Since the S6 is a low production car JHM usually builds the kits in stages and tests them over a long long time. The S4 and RS4 kits have been out for over 5 years and they are not just the fastest but the strongest and longest lasting with little issues.
For the S6 I think you would have to contact jhm directly and at that point they would put you on the beta program. Or that’s what they did on the S4/S5/RS4/RS5 earily adopters JHM usually wants the cars there for a few weeks to months depending on how booked they are or how far along the project is.
I’m getting a stage 1 for my S4 but the JHM kits are very impressive. The one thing I do know. Is that the more V10 stuff JHM sells from exhaust kits to tunes to spacers ect ect. The more they invest into the platform. So if the V10 market grows more and more you can expect to see JHM release the kit sooner than later. If the market stays steady but moderate they will still work on the kit but it will be more for customers who send there cars to JHM for the kit to be installed.
Or that’s how its bee for years as I have seen
