Stage 2 stuff is really exciting…I wish it was a faster process, but I can appreciate the amount of time and testing being put into things.
I would love to jump on it and get a motor built now, but I think the long lead time will let me do some other stuff I’d prefer to get done before hand. Like buying/acquire another JHM IM, upgrade my clutch and FW, and slap on a set of headers. I also plan to throw some RPF1’s on the car and see if I can’t throw down a 12.6x all motor.
I think k I’ve got that right. They had three strip attempts and had three problems to iron out. All part of development when you own the cars. Easy to do but annoying.
The rs4 did one shakedown pass, but I will say that even the base $8000 Jhm kit with a knackered clutch was able to accomplish things that other companies have created press releases and multiple threads about.
Saw you put your car up for sale on AZ got me thinking I’d love to get into an RS4 as well. Not sure if it would be worth the switch considering all the time and money I’ve put into my car to keep it mint. And without spending 45k + seems like its hard to find a clean one.
Yea that’s what I’m starting to think as well. Like you said the time money and how clean some of us keep our personal cars is outrageous lol. But I would have a hard time trading up to a car that is not in as good condition. Till I decide, I will continue modding! Just installed the STE gauge today unfortunately I’m dropping the car off to get its bumper replaced so I won’t really get to mess around with it.
Have you decided to keep your B7? Exciting if you are, I’m also considering paying a little more attention to mine, the IM, clutch and FW is where I would also start.

Haha, no need to apologize to me Jupiter. I am still on the fence, but I’m really trying to keep it. I try to justify keeping it on a daily basis. My wife and I have our first kid on the way and after I picked up the ecoboost the plan was to sell it and pay off the rest of her Q5. Well all I got was low ball offers and I’d rather keep it than let someone steal it, not to mention I have a very close relationship to it after pulling the motor and rebuilding the heads. Another good thing is the Q5 is almost paid off at this point and I’m taking a new job that should allow me to pay the loan in full by the end of the year.
I’m the kind of guy that needs a toy…something to piss with, and I feel that the S is perfect. I love the look, I love that it’s AWD and I love that it has a V8 shoe horned in the engine bay. I love muscle cars, but besides the horsepower and plethora of performance parts…they don’t wow me. The RS4 would be my only other choice, but if I sell the S for $20k and go buy a low mileage RS4 I still have to drop another 20-25k. Why not drive the S and work at it little by little. Like I mentioned…headers, clutch FW, get another IM, lightweight wheels. I’m probably going to try and get my hands on another motor and eventually do a build, not sure if I want supercharger or nitrous…but I think after JHM really shows us what a stage 2/3 car will do I’ll probably make my mind up instantly.
Your welcome for the long story…I really wish I would have kept my manifold and nitrous…there would have been some shit going down…lol I always tell the wife that I need to keep the S4 to pass down to our son…if it ends up being 500whp plus though, I may have to put an age restriction on that…like he gets it when he is 30 or something.
^^ Find out if your buyer has actually installed the nitrous. If not, then offer to buy it back lol. I considered nitrous but I needs my trunk space for the stroller - congrats on the kid btw!
I’m pretty good friends with him…it’s wolfs4. He has it all hooked up and he has been spraying a little bit. He has a red B6 avant, auto…basically everything but headers, I’m gonna try to get him out here to the strip soon!

He usually works on the weekends and I only have weekends off, but we will try and arrange something. I dont like having my feelings hurt though so an ass beating will make me order more parts…lol could be dangerous.

Yeah, I’m here and the nitrous kit is installed. I’ve done a few sprays so far, but seems I got a shitty fill on my 1st bottle and waiting for time to get it re-filled and collect some data before saying much.
