Confirmed: APR TVS1740 Supercharger For the B7 RS4

I decided to grab a quick video of the development so far.

We’re looking at over 510 AWHP and 480 AWFT-LBS on our dynapack hub dyno.

For comparison sake, I added in 6 runs stock, carbon cleaned, captured in nice and cold February. Next up are 3 runs from the APR Stage 3 TVS1320 collected a month later and finally one of the pulls from just before lunch today.

I think what’s interesting is the clear jump in torque over the other charger. It’s massive. For example, at 4000 RPM stock was around 260 ft-lbs, TVS1320 was 350 ft-lbs and the new TVS1740 was up around 486 ft-lbs. That’s fun. We’re also crossing 500 AWHP by what looks like roughly 6000 RPM with plenty to go towards redline.

Keep in mind, this is just development stuff, so don’t hold us to the numbers. I assume they could go up or down. Engineering will spend time working on the calibration to make it nice and smooth just like the TVS1320.

yeah, I was about to say…only one number made me say WTF and that was 480 AWTQ (or AHTQ lol).

That’s kind of absurd. Picking up 100 wtq over a 1320…damn.

aarin…this looks like its the best way to go when it comes to a roots style blower…you explaind that the 1300 was not as good as the 1700 and you showed it…why is the 1700 better then the 1900… seriously I would really like to hear your thoughts on this as you already know there are poeple going to be liying and saying that bigger is better. maybe your top 5 reasons…

I want to see more on the RS5 development front… :stuck_out_tongue:

Call me biased… :stuck_out_tongue:

^^^they cancelled the RS5 project due to lack of interest unfortunately

If they go back to it, it will be early 2015. That’s the word.

Hmmm, this could teach the world a lot about superchargers if this is faster than the 1900 AMD kit. Thanks for sharing, keep the updates coming!

I would like to see the dyno vs. the best Aviva 1900 dyno.

Granted APR dyno may read different being hub etc. but still, would be interesting.

Anyway, i that possible? Preferably in MS paint to annoy the nerds on quattrofail.

And then Arin can get into an entertaining argument over there while they all tell him he’s wrong lol

Oh please. I feel like I’m reading A5OC.

I guess this is the best comparison I’ve seen to date. Two different results on a dynojet.

Still need to fix the legend there Arin

Yeah, whoops. Oh well. : )

Apr still wins.

shhhhhhhh… I had him for a minute!

That’s a mess lol

Apr torque is labelled apr hp
AmD torque is labelled apr hp

Anyway that’s the apr1320 vs amd1900

I mean the best amd 1900 dyno result vs the recent apr 1740 result

What stage did I compare above, wrong labels above and all, anyways? At this point I don’t remember. Stage .9? Stage 1. Stage 2, 3? What’s that even mean anyways??? I don’t have any desire to search for the answer.

lol please…

I believe that was Per’s 0.9 Dynojet run.

Arin you got these AMD cats crying and flipping out now. Get your pants out.
