is teh question really ‘do I keep the damaged C63 or do I start driving the S4 as my own’
That’s why I voted S4. And because I don’t like RWD compared to quattro.
WOuld be interesting to see a new poll for ‘should I buy a 3 year old C63 with the SLS derived engine internals, or stick with the S4’
I think a couple of people are voting based on this damaged car. The smart answer is to return the lease like a hot potato and let MB deal with that financial colonoscopy.
I haven’t actually voted, but if we truly take dd out of the equation and evaluate it from a “toy car that can be practical as needed” perspective, I vote c63. Much more engaging drive and much more soulful engine.
But how dated the c63 looks in a couple years…and if that will bug u is another matter. I don’t feel the styling has aged well at all.
Oh lol. i hadn’t looked at the results till now…I allowed changed in the polling, so go ahead.
The C63 is just the more compelling driving car - to me and boro, anyway. It’s just hard for me to justify keeping it too much longer knowing I won’t keep it at the end - it’s headed for leasebusters, I think, so I can get started on this S4 build once more.
If one of the 30 or so canadian C63 black series cars come to market, I may bite
loved the CLK version. Too bad we can’t bring it up here.
That would be cool until it rained or winter rolled in. I saw a Viper stripped down like that too. It’s a pretty cool idea; just maybe not very practical.
I do think getting out from under the C63 lease is a good idea from the standpoint of not taking the hit if you tried to sell it later on (after the lease was up).
The other thing is, you have the S4 and most the parts. If you drive it for a year or so, and change your mind, you’re not really out too much at that point. It wouldn’t be hard to make a change, and you’re not stuck with trying to unload a car that had some pretty heavy damage.
