lol has anyone ever NOT seen an xpipe that was equal distance from both banks? That was one of the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen posted on the internet. Ben’s other dumb posts included…this was hilarious.
a transversely mounted VEE motor could have some issues with that, or an exhaust that runs down one side and has one secondary that is much longer than the other (my jeep is like this, passenger side runs more or less straight back, the driver’s side swings around behind the motor).
On an 8E audi though, you’d really have to put in an effort to not have them equidistant
I was going to build it using the Magento framework using a themeforest template. Trust me - for $3k I wasn’t about to design AND code an entire e-commerce site from scratch, haha. I also told him he would have to maintain it but there is an extremely robust backend in Magento that makes everything super-easy to edit / update. The only other ongoing costs would be for the payment gateway that he chooses (i.e. Authorize.net). This I believe is only $99 to set up and $20 a month after that (which he would pay for). Small potatoes if you are actually SELLING PRODUCTS, lol.
But yes, either way STILL a great deal for him considering the company I work for full-time charges upwards of $50-100k+ for e-commerce sites built on this framework. I was going to take this project through my side LLC that I own so that’s the reason for charging a lot less, besides the fact that I would be tweaking a pre-made template and using a framework.
I’ve never needed to use the Enterprise edition for any of my clients. I am a senior PHP developer so if I have to extend the functionality of Magento it’s as simple as building some hooks into it for that additional functionality. Not to mention the Enterprise edition starts at like $15k a year. Not all my clients are down for that, especially when I tell them they can just pay me my hourly rate for support or additional development.
But anyways, back on topic, I may actually get the SAI block off plates from E-werkz or whatever the F they are called now. I was hoping to do the aux rad delete / cold air snorkel / SAI delete over the winter. But I don’t trust their “e-store.”
Yes definitely. Doing a lot of traveling these next few months but I’m thinking we should set something up for the spring. I haven’t put the 2.5" downpipes on yet but I will be doing so right after inspection in January. Also ordering the JHM lightweight crank pulley and I’m going to start on my aux rad delete / cold air snorkel within the coming weeks. Just ordered some ducting from here:
this is true i remember when you offered to build it for them…you and i even talked about it when you came to my house. professional website built for the cost of benriquewerks exhaust … deal for bennie and his friend enrique.
rs4_saloon is my vagcom/go-pro guy and he has been busy lately…therefore I have not done anything since I got the mtm installed.
my RS4 is sitting pretty in the garage and just got my dunlop 3Ds install about a week ago they look and seem to ride better than the contis…just got the 993 delivered yesterday. seems to be a fun car…does have a nice unique sound to it.
i might have to sell my car too…bc mick is leaving the platform :
they have to ship it to a store closer to me…then i can go check it out in person.
there is some debate on whether it is an Ibis or some other potentially more rare color like Arctic White.
it would be a hard sell to trade my car in for it…has to be very perfect otherwise I am going to keep my ride.
part of me thinks…why spend more money to upgrade to a more unique car when i can take that additional money and get a gt3rs which is really what i want sitting next to the rs4 if i can pull it off. no doubt the 993 is temporary unless i just end up loving it.
i just ordered a bunch of gaskets from pelican (already have most of the tune up parts) and will start to have fun taking the 964 apart. I honestly am looking forward to working on that car. It is relaxing and frustrating at times to work on a car. Basically going to do all I can with the engine in the car…just for fun and practice. Then might take it out eventually if I have to.
I should see that other RS4 soon…will take pics and post them up.
By the way, apparently Ben is now at a lighting company Soraa inc. It is annoying how people’s facebook accounts link up to certain sites like 034 Motorsport.
lol fishing for props? Nobody said anything Bout who found it, but in the future I will post a credit in the footnotes of my posts relating to laser Ben
I do know that the ID card was photo shopped now and has Dr evil on it instead of Ben and his jewfro. I may have the original saved somewhere.
