That’s not dtoys4.2, just a pic I stumbled upon on IG. IIRC the car is from Finland and now is for sale. The wheels are supposedly Rota. Some food for thought for our fellow Imola Yellow owner
Rota’s, although the very essence of knock off, are great wheels. I had the TE-37 versions on my X. Real low offset on 19x9.5 w/ 265 tires. Great deal and pretty customizable colors. Anyway, that is about the height I plan on parking. Thats not too freakishly low.
Yeah I can go quite a bit higher on both ends actually, especially in the front. If you go back to my coilover install, theres a picture of the car jacked up and it was up higher than stock easily. As far as lowering goes though, the backs are about as low as PSI recommends. They told me I need to get shorter springs for the rear if I wanted to be as low as I went with the H&R kit. Reason being is the top half of the rear perches swivel to keep the spring seated at all times. If you don’t raise the rear enough, the perches have no room to move.
Have you been that low before? I was at 24.5" ground to the top of the fender and that was dangerous. I’d guess that car is another 1/4"-1/2" lower than that. Looks great but you can mess your car up pretty quickly. I had to replace my sway bar links 2 times and was lucky to not rip my oil pan off on a manhole cover in downtown Chicago. Im at 25-1/8" right now. Doesn’t look as good but I don’t have a heart attack driving everyday either.
