Ghetto stancetards are now buying RS4s

because everyone knows you can’t change a coilpack or a spark plug without shipping the car across 3 states first. And it always takes 4-5 days to change a ‘spark plug’.

Interestingly, word is that Flying fatsauce bought an RS4 engine recently.

Of course as APR sales rep, we’ll never hear the real story.

That would be unfortunate.

I suspect word will get out - likely on AR.

is he hoarding information or something?

carbon cleaning is overrated.

that is, unless you’re going to the dragstrip and are a shit driver. Then you should say you have carbon thus the shit times. From the mick playboook (among others)

Haha, you were sent here to share it.

Why won’t he make an account here? Instead he screen caps our conversation to his instagram and then trashes AR where he can’t be touched…weird…and cowardly.

when shopping for my exhaust I went for a ride in a s4 avant catless non res and the drone was through the entire rev range, quite annoying, and I like loud.

I am gonna start using that, because I sure as fuck don’t want to DIY that shit ever again!

Te resoanated is definitely more than enough IMHO. The non res on JHM’s shop car is as loud as fuck WOT, but quiets down at crusing…Still was just a little too loud, that is why I went resonated and black…Can’t wait to see it!

I had a catless resonated FI exhaust on my B7 S4 and it was pretty damn loud. I liked it, but it could make people jump if you wanted.

The problem with the S4 sound is the stock exhaust manifolds, JHM headers supposedly cleans up the exhast tone.

Luckily for us the RS4 basically has headers so I’m not to worried about putting an exhaust on my RS. I will probably go catless resonated, need to make that decision soon.

lol, no…I passed on some info on AZ to a guy local to me asking about CC with walnut shells. I told him that he should look into the BMW intake port fixture because others have used it successfully, he was looking at possibly making his own. The BMW one is available multiple places on the net for a decent amount of money so why re-invent the wheel.

My post was followed buy the maintenance guru’s comment:
There is an actual attachment made for Audi cars. You don’t need to use the N54 BMW one
…he also used a headbang smiley… like the info I offered was somehow stupid

OP and I asked for the part #

He says
The shop I go to showed it to me. I’ll see if they can tell me where they got it.
He never came back to the thread, because it’s probably the same thing I posted.

I think my exhaust is perfect, jhm catted with res. its loud as hell when on the gas and no drone while cruising.

I wonder what the power dif is between high flow cats and no cats?

I will tell you that I loathe CCing so much that i am just gonna let the pros do it from now on. Definitely the most 2 unfun days of car ownership (of any car that I have owned).

Your decision sounds great. The JHM DP’s allow for swapping to cats if needed, as I am sure you are already aware of.

My cat less, resonated 2.5" b7 s4 was probably 50 to 75% louder than my catted resonated RS4

here’s 2.5" JHM Catless non-resonated b7 s4
Vs
2.75" jhm Catless resonated b7 rs4

Anyone get any photos of Flying Tomatoes/Flying Rotten Apple leaving H20?

I heard when his car left, his wheels looked like they weren’t turning. Kinda like spinners…or the Rolls Royce emblems that stay centred while the wheel rotates.

The car was moving, but the wheels stayed in position…anyone have any info on that?

…and it had another vehicle underneath it…but that vehicle’s wheels were moving. Maybe badblue or zmon or the boys would like to fill us in?

everytime I listen to someone that has the same exhaust to me I always think mine sounds louder. probably just the laptop speakers. id post how mine sounds but im sure you’ve all heard it, im quite proud of it.

I am going to add a set of catless dps to my order, I really don’t think there will be much of a difference in power or sound but we’ll see.

and ya that yellow s4 sounded like an absolute beast.

I have another question…if you were 300 miles from home, at an Audi show, and had a bad coilpack, what would you do:

a) change the $20 coil pack in 20 minutes at the show (which anyone with 4 tools can do) and be good to go, since there are probably 500 available spare CPs there from shops with displays to individual audi owners

or

b) tow the car 250 miles to have a coilpack changed at a shop, which is itself still 70 miles from where you live

I’m not sure but…I think I’d pick a). I’ve changed my coilpacks on my B7 S4. It was flipping easy. Changing 1? A breeze. I’ve seen a friend do it at the side of an interstate in 10 minutes before.

I can’t wait for the 4 rs4s to get together at Cayuga.

Badtoyz - jhm 93 tune, jhm catted DPs + jhm resonated exhaust

Mistro jhm catless DPs + jhm resonated exhaust, all the other bolt ons

Bangoman jhm 93 tune, jhm catted DPs + jhm resonated exhaust

Me - jhm catted DPs + jhm resonated exhaust

Are there any other local rs4s out there who we should remind to come when we are going?
