GMG Oversize Crank Pulley & Super Damper

I kind of regret not starting the thread here. You guys seem to be the ones with all the answers!

I’m hopeful that when Sean says they’re working on releasing a dual setup tune, they’re working on a pump gas tune too. PT - it seems like APR’s work on you tune has been strictly high octane, right?

I’m really curious how this setup would look regarding IAT, EGT, and timing on pump gas.

LOL! Vendorzine has it’s merits no doubt… I’ll leave it at that…

Yes all the dual pulley files I’ve run have been with a 104 octane tune or E85 tune. APR is a good marketing company so they realize they’ll need this to work on 93/100/104/e85. They’ll all be offered I’m sure… Sorry, I can’t offer data on 93, but have no problem sharing the logs I have.

If this was a daily driver for me and I was going to do this I’d keep in mind hat no one outside of Jeff(Jones2012S4) has run the dual pulley for an extended period. Personally I’d do it either way but it’s probably not for everyone. I’d like to see some summer logs when the cars heat soaked and thrashed, at this point that’s an unknown. In good conditions the car will perform very well basically stage II with another 1.5-2psi. I can’t elaborate on all of the changes that are made but they’re adjusting more than the specified boost targets as my car was hitting some other limits pre tune revision, but that was in very cold conditions. I wouldn’t worry about the blower unless maybe road racing it will be fine, and if it goes they’re cheap.

Let me know if you have any specific questions or want to see my logs, just pm me your email…

Oh and welcome to AR!

I tossed this in the AZ thread, but I thought you guys might want to see it too. I haven’t included the GMG pulley yet, because I haven’t found the size yet. I’m hesitant to use the flange-to-flange measurement to compare to the others’ measurements from the ribs.

Fluidampr is in there now? LOL

That guy in the thread is a joke

Are you not posting over there as Bianco? I thought that was pretty obvious?

Edit: Obvious maybe isn’t the right word, but I assumed it was you and that you weren’t making a huge effort to hide it. Bianco literally has the exact same posting style, mannerisms, and very closely emulates how you post. His only posts have either been in ardent defense of JHM or going after APR, Euroswagr popped up in several instances, and he seems to live in the GTA. It’s pretty freaky if it’s not you anyway…

The thread link was posted in the lulz…I also live in America because I like guns, so no GTA you have me mistaken. You seemed more concerned about outing Sakimano, rather than calling out a guys who thinks a fluid damper will add 25WHP! haha

[quote=“euroswagr,post:26,topic:7990”]

Sorry, that wasn’t very clear. The “he” I was referring to was Bianco, not you… It appears Bianco lives in the GTA, or close to where Saki does. I do feel a lot better knowing you like guns. I was worried about it.

I try not to get too wrapped up in arguing with people that like argue on the internet. I made that mistake once. Every time the Wizard dude pops up, that happens. Someone called him out on it, and that was good enough. The thread was so fucked by that point there wasn’t much of a reason to contribute anything too useful, or to try and get into that.

You must have missed where I called you a bitch rat in the lulz thread.

I saw it today. Pretty impressive stuff, and about what I’d expect. I get that a lot, but it means so much more coming from you two clowns.

You can justify your “not arguing” stance until your blue in the face…I see it as weakness. You’re letting your platform be polluted by morons. There are so many stupid comments and misconceptions in that thread, but I guess everyone is afraid to question one another. Also some idiot is advertising a product that doesn’t exist and is claiming I sure HP gains…and a group buy full of idiots is being created.

I am satisfied with my contributions to this platform. I don’t have to fight every battle.

First time hearing someone being called a “bitch rat”, so I had to google, and it’s better than I could have ever imagined.

-When someone rats on you like an asshole for trivial things. An extension of “hall monitor.”

Haha. That’s pretty awesome. I was thinking it was more like a prison rat, or maybe even an internet forum rat.

lol, saki, you tolled me good! I was thinking Bianco’s style was familiar, and the thought even crossed my mind. :o

trolled*

lol!

FWIW, jran figured you out rather than ratted you out.

I actually felt like I went out of my way not to rat him out, but whatever… I guess that makes me a bitch, or a rat, or both, or something anyway. Ha. Everything about the whole episode was pretty funny from my perspective, and being called a bitch rat was the icing on the cake.

Well written. Sums it up.

This is also bang on. It’s incredible that people are eating that fluidampr bullshit up.

Heavier than stock
Absolutely bullshit claims
No real product, just a cad drawing
No real reputation other than on the VW forums who are all fooled by one fluke dyno (which is what Issam keeps pointing to) where a car gained a bunch of power in a before after test.

Anywhere else you look and this fluidampr is a joke. But the B8 S4 guys are lining up. Unbelievable.

The best is how upset they get when someone calls out a snake oil salesman. They all pile on to protect the guy who is FLEECING them.

without a doubt dampers don’t make power, they do however keep torsional vibrations under control, since every time a cylinder fires it cause minor deflection in the crankshaft which can cause a vibration resonance that extend the entire length of the crankshaft. It can cause everything from loose pulleys and loose flywheels to premature bearing wear especially towards the ends of the crankshaft. The torsional damper was originally created in the early 1900s for tractors and their 30hp motors Rubber around a cast iron hub and an outer cast iron pulley ring. As far as I know Torsional dampers only work to increase engine longevity and reliability
