It’s amazing what happens when you go big power. It shows you where the weaknesses in the car are.
I had a conversation about the GT built motor B5 S4s with Jason from JHM last winter. It was interesting because he was saying that the power just rattles the cars to pieces.
Going stage III+ B5 isn’t that big a deal cost wise anymore (around $15,000 for the kit + build) but there’s another $5000 you could/should/will spend on solidifying the rest of the car. All these little things like above. Pretty interesting. Of course just about nobody in B5 land does this, so those guys like D SHOT or EVILEVO end up shying away from launching their cars or doing pulls as a result. They love the dyno though…
