Regarding wiring yes, everything was there and there was no need for aditional wires. but to get them work module was replaced from one with only height control to one with AFS.
After will try to locate it and toke picture of modul in car

Purchased LED from link above, but must select what type it’s connection.
To install them only need remove xenon bulb and install LED. Cable from LED is going to module that was before on xenon bulb, and it must be checked somewhere inside housing.
Last night I done 3h driving in night and must say it’s mutch better than xenon.
what is the connection type for our s6 2008?
is this placed under the glove box or near the headlight, i havent ever removed the headlight yet, just need to be sure where to look at the first place?
Its placed under glove box.
If you get afs headlight, they should have on side control units as from link below, if no then need buy them. I buy second hand and they didnt work and another set i buy it did work.

Bringing this back, with the same question. Any new products out there for improved headlight performance.
@audis6 that’s dope!!! Excited to see the end results. Did you consider LED retrofit? Also how did you open the headlight assembly?
LED retrofit? Like from 4G model? I was but I didn’t go into details on how to do it.
These are originally internal parts from RS6 headlights, and the replacement housing and clear cover are from a new halogen light, so I swapped them inside. Then I glued them together with windshield glue, which made it easier to open with a big flat screwdriver. When they were new, with OEM glue, then I put them in the oven for about 5 minutes at maybe 150°C.
At the moment, my current headlight project has been on standby for 11 days now due to work around the house. Hopefully, I’ll manage to work on them overnight sometime.
Yesterday, I got a new right housing because my old one had a cracked bracket. I did a quick fix with two-component glue and metal sample welding, but there was no way to fix the bracket with a fix kit anymore, so new one come.
Here’s the new housing, 55 euro:
Wow awesome, if you haven’t already you should record your custom mods and post on YouTube.
Check out this YT video, this guy does something similar with night and day results. He makes it look easy but i’m sure this is far from simple.
