Introduction

So I joined a little while ago but I’ve been pretty busy with work lately. I figured I’d just drop in and say something, as so far I’ve just been browsing and reading.

I’ve got a black '04 S with piggies and a Magnaflow, JHM tune, an Apikol snub mount and a helical rear diff. She’s got about 65k miles on her and drives beatifully; paint is a pinch rough, owing to life outside, but not bad, and the inside is at least 9.5/10.

For those who don’t know me, I earned my BSME from USF (2009) after several years of working through school, and I currently work as an engineer for an environmental/remediation firm and as an engineer, mechanic, and pit crew for a Grand Am team (sorry, it’s a Bimmer!). I’m a big DIY’er, have been a mechanic previously, used to build manual gearboxes as a side job, have worked in fab/machine shop (FSAE in college), fitting, forming, welding, mill, lathe, etc as well as some design. I’ve had about 12 cars, including building (as far as I know) the world’s first running S13/LS1 conversion back in March 2006 with a little help mounting from Brian Hinson, who I gave some feedback to regarding wiring frame mods and such to help him sell/support the S13 swap. Currently own a '96 Lexus LS (stock and in nice shape) for daily duties and an '85 Honda Interceptor 700 as a second toy (ugly but pretty modded).

Anyway, I don’t have a lot of time to roam, post, and help out people with questions, as we’re a little short-staffed at work, but I’ve always loved being a part of the car community. Enough crap, on to pictures!

Thank you, gents. These are not by any means new; all of these photos (except the last one) have been posted to AZ over the past two years. I don’t devote the time to development/custom work that I used to in years past, partly because I don’t have the time and partly because I don’t want another car with heavy fabrication work and such. Anyway, I look forward to more lurking, more finding good ideas and useful knowledge, and just the general sharing of information. I think that’s what we’re all here for anyway, right? Thanks again for the welcoming arms.

on my keyboard the z and the r are seperated by a whole row and even then aren’t really on top of each other…more staggered by a full key sized gap
