my car feels sluggish once in a while and I’m not sure what’s up. I consider my butt dyno pretty accurate and lately over the last couple of months, I’ve noticed the car running somewhat flat up top (5500-6500). During this same time period, it has run strong as hell within the same RPM range…just seems to have a mind of its own. Is it possible the ECU is pulling timing for some reason at different times? Clutch getting too worn and slipping ever so slightly perhaps? Bad gas maybe? Weather effecting it somewhat? It’s been pretty cool and dense here in So Cal though…

I have brand new Bosch plugs, brand new K&N filter, all updated coil packs and no CEL’s. Also, I’d like to take some logs to see what’s going on. I have VCDS Lite and assume I can use it to run the logs. Only thing is, I have no idea really how to take them or what to look for specifically. If you guys can point me in the right direction, I’ll take some and post it here for comments.

Anyway, maybe this is all just my imagination, but maybe not. Would be good to find out.

I know the piggies are at the end of the spectrum for power. If the car is really hustling strong you can get choaked off a bit.

I know with the supercharger cars there is a big gain to be had with the larger Dps. Also from talking to and seeing justins stuff you can see while the piggies are great if you have a good day they can choak the car off a little up top.

Possibly because it’s getting warmer? Could be something like bad o2 sensors too

yes the temps will also make teh car feel choaked off up top. The temsp are impornant but the humidty make a big difference as well. The general dencity of the air is very noticable on a NA car

Yeah all good stuff to consider guys thanks. Makes sense about the piggies too…I do remember reading that in the past. I’m going to remedy that with the Trexturk 2.5 DP’s in the near future though.

My 02’s are the original ones from the factory. If they were on the fritz, will that show up in logs?

I bet it’s just the humidity as well. My car has felt sluggish the past few days and it’s been unseasonably warm and humid here in the Northeast.

Yeah freakin weird. Now the car pulls like a motherfucker all of the sudden again. Never fails, when someone tries to run me, it feels like a dog…If I ever find that guy Murphy, I’m gonna fuckin shoot him.

lol you’ve mentioned skiing a few times in the past, but this year you were pretty jacked with being out of school and having a job etc…so you were posting a lot about hitting the hills. Big jinx!

You know we had a total of about 7 inches of snow where I live, on Lake Ontario just outside Toronto? We usually get two or three 7 inch one day snowfalls…never mind 7" for the whole winter.

^^ Same here. Our average in Minneapolis is 45inches. Last year we got about 90". This year around 10"-15". Glad I sold my snowmobile in December :wink:

Chicago has had only 9.8" this year. It’s going to be 78 today. Fucking weird weather.

And yeah I was pumped, we got 1 foot back in october and probably only 2 feet since. It was a wicked tease getting the early storm. I still got some good days in, probably about 40 trips this winter but I was hoping after the october nor’easter to be skiing from November until at least May.

It is what it is though, there is potentially for me moving within PCC to a plant in Ogden Utah… which is immediately next to Powder Mtn.

Welcome to living in New England lol, our weather has mood swings like a pregnant woman… 65F and sunny in the early afternoon, 25F and hailing with a rainbow out come evening. We had a thunder snowstorm with a rainbow a few months ago.

I have two passes for loon mountain at need to be used before end f the season…
