Didnā€™t realize these were that quick with minimal mods. What is the full list here? I know it was asked above, I am borrowing a 2014 stock and Iā€™m surprised how well it handles stock, and power is decent too, would be curious to check out one with a pulley, exhaust, and tune

They respond really well to race gas. On pump theyā€™re similar to your rs4 with maybe an edge to the s4.

Stock theyā€™re pretty much identical

Way more s4 guys hit the strip which is great as it bec9nes a proving ground for modifications . Itā€™s amazing how many are on our list. I think thereā€™s like 15 rs4s in total and 100 b8 s4s lol.

I thought the jhm rs4 with exhaust and tune was best 12.2 quarter? Whereas the tune, pulley, exhaust s4 was 11.5-11.9? Both impressive, is the supercharged motor fairly stout? It actually sounded decent at full tilt. In Europe what power plant does the rs4 have?

The B8 RS4 / RS5 stock is pretty much = to a tune/pulley B8 S4 3.0T as DRIVE on youtube and some of hte APR testing has shown (againā€¦pump gas). B8 RS4/5 beits from the DSG and a power bump thanks mostly to RPMs and a better intake, and is quicker than the B7 I was referring to. Itā€™s a 4.2 FSI naturally aspirated engine, similar to (but totally redesigned) the B7 RS4/R8 4.2 FSI.

Iā€™m talking pump gas. I even put it in bold. On pump gas there are 4 different rs4s at 12.2 trapping up to 113 or so. The b8 guys have 3 in the 11s, 11.93 being the quickest. The others are 11.96, 11.98 etc.

There are none in the mid 11s on pump. Hopefully this worksā€¦third times a charm.

The B7 guys donā€™t bother with race gas, even supercharged they donā€™t. The B8 guys love it. So comparing apples to applesā€¦ You need to look at both cars on pump gas. The numbers are pretty similar with an edge to the S4. Iā€™d like to see more rs4 results. Unfortunately most rs4 owners think theyā€™re too special to go to a dragstrip.

Not apples to apples but hereā€™s the awe s5 going 11.88 on pump and full street trim. Anyways was just checking in on the performance of these cars, pretty quick indeed. Thanks!

that statment sakimao make is true. The 3.0t on pump with all its mode less race gas is in the same range as the 4.2
But to say the s5 is in the mix then can sakimano say the R8. One is a two door version of the other. The S4 4 door the S5 two door same hp. The Rs4 4 door the R8 two door same hp.

Also have to remember that the sample of B8 S4s to B7 Rs4s is like 20:1 or better. This in no way is to take from the S4 and its greatness as its one of the best S4s in history performance wise. But to get to the point thats being made there is a similairty between the rs4 and s4 performance wise with some simple mods.
