Jfonz=itguy=mark 10second S4

Yeah don’t mention ar. Just ask.

Sounds like maybe the car did well as he smirked there.

Last time a shop was hiding results, we just found other guys from other platforms who were there and asked them.

What’s the track called, and what was the date of the event?

The twin-turbo setup was run by a new AZ member named pocketlint. Gotta be itguy, right?

Wow… lol

He’s gonna grenade the motor… Love to see the logs… Trap? Vids?

Looks like a backyard BOBO setup to me…all tuned from the comfort of some guy’s mom’s basement!

Axles are too small…that is the issue

good question

if they’re an approved vendor, why would they lie and create a troll account?

They’re fucking shady if that’s them.

Someone know a moderator on audizine who can check it out? If itguy is terminated, and he is now using pocketlint, that is banworthy. Ban avoidance. I know it well!

Doesn’t look like it did to good. Work in progress still. I hope the next trip is better, this 1/4 mile is really where the testing needs to be done, and real world driving conditions.

Running 91 octane map, with 100 in the tank.
1st pass 12.9 3rd-4th gear limp mode
2nd pass 12.8 3rd-4th gear limp mode
3rd pass charge pipe blew off TB
4th pass 12.2
5th pass broke PS rear axle

As a point of reference, a local giac stage 2 DSG car with latest rev on 100 octane ran 12.49/12.51

Tune needs ALOT of work, 3rd,4th gear, getting 10+ degrees of timing correction, not due to knock. Back at the same track on the 14th of Feb with bigger axles. Vids and slips to follow. DA was +1900

I like how Dan’s K03 car is the first recommended video in line to watch

Looks like they had loads of excuses for all the passes except the last one, which they seemed to be proud of.

12.27 @ 116

aka pretty shit ET and stage 2 MPH

Wonder what fuel it was running…pure alcohol? I bet a stage 2 car tuned for E85 by someone who is not a con artist thief would trap better than 116 in its sleep…no turbocharger in line necessary.

p.s. it sounds like fucking shit. Jesus. It’s one of the annoying fart-can sounding cars that you don’t ever run against if you’re making a video because it just ruins the entire thing. The guys who work at the track hate these cars too. This falls in the ricer category as far as track staff go. “You go ahead buddy…all by yourself because you’re so awesome”

best part of the Jcons/EpicFailTuning video…it linked me to this…

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7ZNFGV9pUE

Is it me or is tbis entire thing frok company names to the approach to the failures and excuses just mind blowing on how stupid these people are…600hp…sure…

yeah, 116 mph from 500 whp on 91? Wasn’t that what they said?

Yup, that’s what they said.

But yeah there’s a couple of possibilities of what happened to that car:

  • The tune sucks (most likely)
  • Bad track prep (toss-up)
  • Transmission had problems to begin with which could be the reason it had problems putting the power down… one can also state that this is a result of the ECU software but we’ll see

I am a little happy though that they’re trying something different. Who knows, they haven’t even released the full details and haven’t even stated that they’re even close to being done. It could be good. They could be guinea pigs to test how strong our gearboxes are.

This whole scenario is really pretty funny… They drop hints for months and pump this car up, yet the tune isn’t right when they take it to the strip, really? How fucking stupid is that… Get your shit straight before you go… They make 5 passes and only one of them is even respectable and really it’s nothing to write home about… APR and GIAC stage I cars have gone better ET and MPH wise, lets not even get into stage II cars… I just looked at some of my passes and I went 12.22 at 115.83 in 1800 DA stage I, with just tune, catback and intake… lol Went 12.06 at over 116 as did Tyson in better DA though… As for the car it’s racing who knows what is done to that, is it really a stage II car? If so it probably has the old GIAC tune that bypass’s tons of boost… If this Jfonz dude is such a good tuner why all the issues? Sounds like he doesn’t know what he is doing really… I’ll quit now… I can’t wait to hear what all the goons on vendorzine say…

The reality of the situation though is that they have already made a power claim. Your car doesn’t make xxx power on the dyno and then trap as if it makes 120 whp less unless something’s very fishy with your dyno.

We watched the car there. I didn’t hear it spinning like mad. I didn’t see it put up a 3 second 60 foot. I didn’t see a gear change hang up. I didn’t see anything that would knock 10 mph off the trap speed.

haha the AZ thread is great

pocketlint basically admits that he is SRM/itguy (the account that was terminated last month

jfunkey calls out exactly what primetime just wrote in here… these times are basically no better than stage 1 and 2 cars have been running for 2-3 years
that the car wouldn’t be running if the tune was not right, and they wouldn’t have pre-announced a track visit if they thought it would go into limp mode.

No, clearly they thought they were about to light the world on fire, and fell flat on their face, thus have loads of excuses now. “Tune’s not right” which is #1 on your ricer handbook of excuses. Next will be “trans can’t hold the power” and “waiting for new clutch(es)” as well as “track prep wasn’t right”

saxon reads that and admits it sucked and that they need to keep working…then itguy makes fun of jfunkey’s grammar and makes reference to his business (no idea what that was about…chrisk never owned a business lol) and then saxon thinks its pile on time and jumps in with a couple of kicks then runs away, like cowards do at a bar fight when someone is on the ground. His most biting blow ‘you don’t even own a B8 S4’. This is always popular among people who can’t deal with facts.

Prime, you basically just described the B5 world. Track visits with improper fueling, shitty tunes, busted trannys. Look where these guys come from…I would expect nothing less.

Does this make sense to anyone?

[QUOTE=pocketlint;9414933]We are not selling anything with regards to the kit, so dont get your ethical panties in a twist. We are a very small conpany that does this stuff for fun, and somehow you relish in shitting on other peoples parades for no good reason (u have yet to mention one). So clear the air, let everyone know why you’re a grumpy cynical bastard with a hard on for china fail rabbit motorsports…

So itguy formed his company with jfonz (Epic Tuning Group, right?) so as NOT to sell a product? WTF?

It just doesn’t add up. I mean, it’s not like itguy has been documenting his build the way britishturbo has done on AR. So it doesn’t appear as if this is just a solitary, one-off project. Hell, jfonz has been advertising the upcoming twin-turbo setup for some time now.

So in the end it’s just more shadiness from the jfonz crowd. I.e., itguy terminates his previous AZ account and posts his 1/4 mile results (and future plans for the twin-turbo setup) under the guise of a new member.
