I’ll post it up in a couple hours… its not really exciting, just my rpm and speed going up lol, I’ll do a better one with the windows down when I get off work.
Thats more than enough excitement than I need right now lol So that will do just fine
well here’s all I have. not really safe to film on the highway with 1 person, which is the only place I can actually let the tune stretch its legs, just went WOT for a gear in S mode on a couple backroads. you can really see the power kick in like crazy in the second link, watch how the rpm leaps forward.
the second video I did go WOT for a bit to show the full oomph of the tune.
And im going to shoot myself if this video is used as a reference for the chips performance, I was not going all out. They are purely to show how the car responds because I’m sure a lot of you are dying just to see something!
SHIT that 30-100 video definitely shows what the tune has done…CRAZY
Great work
Meistah - about the brakes can you ask JHM to create a kit that has the S4 front calipers as I think this would be a cost effective option, becuase the cayenne kit is a bit on the pricey side and is difficult to clear some wheels.
Yea… just watched the TCU video. Wow it’s going to be crazy combined!
I just messaged JHM about this. I looked into it a bit myself, I think the best option for us would be a b7a4 caliper with the JHM b5s4 rotor ( I think they work together). This will be a huge difference in braking.
I also be inclined to get the caliper from the B6/7 S4 & B7A4 that way you can run the JHM LW front rotors. It may be a big jump in price to buy your first set (unless you can find some used) however once you’re ready to replace them you’re looking at about the same price for a new set of rings & hardware as you are for a brand new set of rotors (or even a bit less) which is a hell of a deal considering the added performance you get with them
I’m sorry guys I’m not familar with the brake setups on german cars as I have not had to replace any yet. I understand that we can use the B7 caliper which would allow us to use the JHM LWR’s but what did you mean by rings and hardware? what is that? From my understanding you buy calipers and rotors when you do your brakes and of course the bigger pads, then when you need to replace the pads or rotors again you buy new ones and of course wouldn’t need new calipers unless they got damaged. I think I’m missing something here tho cuz I don’t know what rings and hardware is, sorry last time I did a brake setup was on my DSM.
the rings and hardware are part of the rotors. the lightweight rotors are 2 piece. the ring and the center hat. the hardware i assume are the screws that hold it together. check it out on the jhm website. the link brings you to rotors for the b6/b7 s4.
Ohhh I see, I didn’t know they make 2 peice rotors like that. Thanks for the help, I sure hope someone figures out a solution cuz those kits sure are expensive.
The kits start out expensive if say your getting a BBK. If your getting the L/W rotors your only paying once for the hats. So the second time you get your brakes done again your paying like 100$ per rotor ring due to the fact you already have the hats.
From what Ive found the JHM BBK is the cheapest one on the market. Still the 3.0 brakes are very good. I would just update the rotors and get a stiffer brake line.
