S8?
This is really, really exciting!
So many people in the past have said, “You know, the V10 S6/S8 is a neat car and all, but I just can’t see why someone would want a 14-second car with a V10, even if it does sound great.” Even though I own one, I was in that same camp. I bought my C6 S6 because I enjoyed the rarity and the sound of the V10, not because it had exceptional acceleration. I knew it didn’t. But all of us, and especially CV and the folks at JHM, have brought this car to life. Nobody, in their right mind, would ever laugh at a 12-second car of any kind, especially not an AWD 4500lb executive sedan. It’s gone from a luxury sedan with mediocre performance to a full-blown supercar, virtually overnight.
Sure, some of the upgrades seem expensive when you look at the price tags by themselves, but when you look at the whole package together (car+upgrades), it’s an extraordinary value. A late-model, V10-powered, 12-second Quattro Audi, fully serviced with relatively low miles, for around $30k all-in. What other car can even come close to that value…
(I realize I’m jumping the gun on calling it a 12-second car, since we haven’t yet seen a 12-second timeslip, but with CV’s 13.0 run without even having all the upgrades available installed yet, I think we all know 12-seconds is well within arm’s reach at this point)
that’s as good as done. If he got that close in the summer, I wouldn’t think it is long before we see a 12.xx. Just make sure it’s slower than my RS4 so he can’t talk trash to me.
WOW those are very consistant results. You have two different cars with the same mods getting the same times at the track. Thats something you dont see that often.
Talk about a proven formula.
cant wait to see more.
Count, can I get a price for the 2.75" SS catback exhaust? Picked up in Detroit. For our 08 S8.
What mufflers does it use? Would like to use my factory tips.
I sent you an email. Just now.
Honestly, I’m very happy with the results. When you consider what’s going on and how easy these results are with just a few JHM parts. Just installing the JHM tune gives you better fuel mileage, performance, and protection. With such consistent results, everyone now knows what to expect.
I think it’s a great start. I’d like to see project S6 get into the 12s this week (we shall see). That would really put the car in a new class of performance.
I’ll be heading to the track next month at the JHM-sponsored Audi Night, and will put my results in this post after that happens. In the last 2 months, as most of you are aware, my car has had a FULL overhaul by JHM, replacing ALL bad components - well over 30 items. It has also had a carbon cleaning performed by them.
In addition to returning the aging drivetrain to “like new” condition, they added the following (that I can remember at the moment, will update if I realize I forgot anything):
-ECU Tune
-TCU Tune
-Intake spacers
-Front & rear lightweight brake discs
-Lightweight crank pulley
-SAI delete
-Oil separator heater bypassThose are all in addition to previously installed Miltek exhaust and K&N filters.
I did not track my car prior to this, as there were too many malfunctioning parts and error codes, I decided it was not safe. It’s pretty fair to assume that it was a 14.0 car just like all the rest of them. With the exhaust and the stock (heavy) wheels holding me back, I’m probably in the 13.1 to 13.2 range, purely speculation on my part until I get firm track numbers. Stay “tuned” 8)
C.Scott from what we’ve seen you should be close to your projected times. I think the exhaust might be holding you back a little bit, but be sure to report back and let us know how you do. The JHM-Sponsored Audi nights are always a fun event.
If you want, PM, me I’ll give you a couple pre-track tips and some suggestions on things to do before you go to the track
As usual, I have a hard time keeping up with all the great content on AR. I just noticed I didn’t update this thread.
As expected project, S6 got into the 12s. Here is the fun JHM video that shows the record-setting pass.

With the snow all but melted and the new hotrod season about to start I wanted to make sure to post this and remind all of us where we left off last year
I’m expecting a few more S6 cars in the 12s this year and it seems JHM has some supercharger developments in the works but I’m not sure when they will release more information on that. It’s good to see people investing in getting this great platform off the ground and its great to see JHM helping be a big part of that performance advancement.
I’ve got my own build I’m going to get back onto here in the next months so I’ll make sure to start updating my build thread.
Look fwd to it CV!
Any other Intel on the other project s6s?
this may be an old post but im looking to mod my s6 i have had the intake manifolds removed as 2 werk broke and the injectors removed and cleaned the middle box silencer removed new coil packs and a full service what can you recomend and cost to the netherlands thank u

We’re all still here.
If the basic maintenance is done. you should be in good shape.
A good package for performance and long term health of the car
JHM intake spacers
JHM LW crank pulley
JHM ECU TUNE
JHM TCU TUNE
make sure the OEM intake manifold is working and that’s a very solid set up.
