Any updates on this setup? Been looking forward to JHM developing a kit to eliminate the aux radiator and routing air from the pass side duct directly into the stock box.
Haven’t seen anything on it, but in the S4 they found it wasn’t very effective.
Not sure if they ever got around to testing it in the RS4. There is now a supercharger where the ram air was supposed to go. A far more effective ram air device if you would.
Didn’t you say that you were getting the AMD beta supercharger? What do you care about a little NA CFM supplying the engine.
ah I see… Understandable.
I was going to but I decided against it for now. Going to be a bit more patient, sit back and see what results other people get with the various kits out there now.
and ultimately see what jhm comes out with first. I had asked them a while back to be on the list for a potential beta tester but pulled the plug on that too. My pes experience has just made me a paranoid person when it comes to FI mods on this car lol.
Here is a picture of an existing version of CAI, not recommended for RS4s operating in warm climates since you must delete one radiator
BTW – nice to see you back in action posting on the boards. You are a great guy Dave.
I agree sit back and watch the show a bit…then lets spend our money…too many options about to pop no sense rushing into any of them now.

it’s for the oil, so you can always install an oil cooler in that auxillary radiator’s stead, should you go this ram air route (or should you put a centrifugal supercharger in there).
Can anyone recommend a good oil cooler kit that will work with the RS4? I am going to begin this cold air snorkel project and was hoping to find an oil cooler kit that was relatively plug and play.
I found this but Idk about Mishimoto… I’m a Setrab fan.

Would like to do a PS cooler as well to mimic this setup:

Ping Koolade - he did exactly what you are wanting to do and provided some good info regarding his results. I also think he used Setrab parts.
what’s the JHM kit?
