I think its great Idea to look into who is the fastest. The biggest issue is what I see below. All the 12sec passes have race gas no seats and its hard to concern what mods really were on the car. I would have to say for conversion sake This is very true and for me seems to stand as the proper classification on the 1.8T times
Stock 1.8T B6 A4= 16.6- 17.0
Stage 1 = 16.3-15.9
Stage 2 15.8-15.5
Stage 3 15.2-14.7
Stage BT = low 14’s - very high 12’s range
My big issue is that there is the “that one guy” category. The 1.8T guys don’t really do it like the b5 guys do. The b5 guys have one guy that lets say went 11’s that was a stage X and then they think everyone can do it. I would hate to have the list skewed off that “One guy”
Even though most of the 1.8T guys are not pro 3.0 guys. They are pretty good at keeping everyone in check. So it will be nice to see how things really stack up. Still for now and for me I think the list above is about where everyone is.
to sort out some of the info posted
[quote]1/4 mile 1.8T results
12.63@108 with a gtrs in gutted car (no seats, spare tire) with lightweight small diameter wheels at 25psi on race gas
12.75@108 with gtrs in gutted car (no seats, spare tire) at 25psi on race gas on 19" wheels,
best APR 3+ time was 12.77@111 at a claimed 21psi on race gas, no rear seat or spare, not sure about front seat and was in 30* weather.
Gt28r I can’t remember but wasn’t close. In reality a normal car not gutted on normal gas runs around 13.0-13.5@100-103mph if you get a successful run with a good launch.
Those best times listed were after many many times down the track and should not be taken as what to expect.
