Awesome, can’t wait to see some pics of the IC’s installed. I would love to put my AWE’s on my wifes stage 3 allroad and get of set of the R35’s on my daily driver

The r35 smic are not installed yet , but They do fit very tight… I will install them next month , Now need to brake in the clutch and see if everything is working ok.

I have drove the car for 80 mph aprox , on a very detuned file I made for the brake in period ( clutch)
Its feels complete diferent , the sound of the exhaust its expectacular , will let you know more in detail later tonight .

Here boosting 12lbs now with more than 300mph on the new setup , 1-2 gear test shifting easy , with 1 bad diverter ::slight_smile: that is why I shift earlier , its feels good being on a very detune file , 8 peak timing , mid 10 a/f and 12lbs no meth
Regarding to the drive , I do miss the low end on k03 , I know this turbos (gt25) will be much better once tuned correctly , from 4000rpm plus its game over its feels faster than before I can wait to fully broke in the clutch put the meth on and boost 18-20lbs. :wink:

You get used to the shifted powerband, and learn to drive in the higher revs or downshift when you want immediate power. Only rarely do I miss the low end of the K03’s now (my turbos likely spool around where yours do, just fyi as to why I’m making a comparison).

Going to be tough but just be patient and the break in will be well worth it

Im certainly understand … its all new at the moment of course its feel different , just giving you some initial impressions .

Now I boost it to 15lbs still on a very low timing and rich a/f new diverter feels totaly different better responce about 150-200rpm of better spool transient responce its better too.
I cant make the ecux program to run good , going to fix it today and make some logs tomorrow .

Please lmk how those GTR intercoolers work out if you get any logs or anything. Im currently running a front mount but work at a nissan dealer in the parts dept so i could prolly get them at my cost or used even. I just like the stealth of side mounts over my front mount but dont wanna give up performance for smaller intercoolers.

For sure I will let you know , but before the install I need the car tuned for 18-20lbs with meth. I think in about 2 weeks the R35 smics will be installed.

Why are you tuning before you put on the real IC’s? Seems like it would make more sense to optimize the tune with the final IC’s, not the temporary ones.

another re-tune after the SMICs maybe?

Totaly understand , but after 1,5 year with the car parking I just want to ride and make sure everything is ok .
Beside I need to make some custom piping for the smics and also the shrouds so its going to take at least a cuple of days ,

I asked the same question. Why drive on one set of ICs and then change. After your post it makes sense. I would be doing the same thing.

My question wasn’t why drive on one set of IC’s and then change, it was why tweak and optimize a tune specifically for X psi and meth on certain hardware, when you’re going to be changing the IC’s two weeks later. The car is already running, and to optimize the tune further for temporary parts seems like a waste of time. Doesn’t matter either way though, just curious.

Kind of like the way some people spend many thousands on a gt build that takes years and years, only to leave it on the stock frigging fuel pump and a bad Trans so you’re stuck making tuned 2.0t power? And then to call people out for a drag race that you know you can’t even run?
