Can I make a build thread for my 997 Turbo engine swap into my S4? It’s at the build shop now, I promise
make two
Why don’t you just call Velocity Factor and ask if they have my car and all the parts lying around their shop? What about this new topic makes it all fake?
Look/Listen
All I want is for my experience with Velocity Factor and the building of my S4 to be logged for future customers to see how they do their thing. I was led to believe the car would be done in six weeks. I want to make sure that people with these expectations see exactly what I went through and WHY it took as long as it took.
You don’t want to believe my build is real? I don’t give a fuck.
Ease up Trooper, the car is there! He’s having a bitch of a time with the build and the shop isn’t making things much easier.
I know everyone likes to see pics but for those that can’t or don’t do the work themselves, which includes me, we have to rely on others. Just something to consider.
Ummm why is there a thread of a thread Op?
I don’t get why you would delete the old thread.
You could have accomplished this by putting a bullet point timeline in the original post of your original thread.
p.s. here’s some good advice - don’t start an internet war with the guys who have your car ‘and all the parts laying around their shop’. Things can go very poorly for you in a real hurry.
“Hmm…what are we going to do this week. Work on that B5 for the guy who keeps shit-talking us on the internet? LOL YEAH RIGHT!”
Cliff’s Notes for those just joining this “discussion thread”. Velocity Factor in Boca Raton, FL is not somewhere you want to take your car. Close thread.
I’m not deleting the thread. Somebody else is.
I’m not shit talking Velocity Factor. I’m documenting the process of my build.
Would you bring your car there again?
It all depends on the outcome. When all is said and done - if the car runs the way I want it to - I’ll deal with the time it takes to make it all happen. Next time I won’t be surprised and I seriously doubt other shops would get the job done noticeably faster. I just came into this project without the knowledge that I have now. Hopefully other people who have builds like mine in mind will read about my experience and plan accordingly.
I still have faith that Velocity Factor will do a great job on the car. I just wish they were a little quicker about it.
