He was rocking some MONSTER wide wheels…19x10 Forgestars with 275 Hankook V12 tires which look like they’re 295. This wheel/tire combo actually weighs 54 lbs which is about 3-4 lbs HEAVIER per corner than stock. Get him some 23 lb HREP40 wheels on that thing and some 24 lb 275 PS2 or PSS tires (47 lbs per corner)and he’d maybe be shaving another tenth or so. Guess when Dan @ JHM goes back to regain his title with a 93 octane JHM tune, we’ll find out! (he ran 12.30 on the JHM 91 tune with 91 octane gas and has the same modlist but with lightweight Enkei wheels and Conti DW tires))
George, that is huge, nice run man! Someone should let you borrow a set of track wheels/tires and swap on the LW rotors…I bet there is more than a tenth on the table with those additions.
Its exciting to see customers cars doing this. it really shows how great the parts are and how able 2000S4 is for driving. Its hard to dispute how fast this really is when you had a stock rs4 there the same day. this is actually a big deal if you ask me
exactly. When Dan @ JHM (BRT-WORKS) dropped the 12.40 on everyone’s head a few months ago all the nay-sayers said ‘irrelevant as it’s a shop car’ etc. (As if they have some secrets they keep for their shop cars lol).
Good to see a customer’s car be even faster with LESS mods, showing it’s very doable. JHM’s B6 S4 (‘shop car’…Jay’s wife’s daily driver) ran 12.9 on to break into the 12s all motor for the first time for the platform…and cabracco did it a few months later (12.8 actually), shortly followed by jfunkey and myself. All three of us customers achieved the time with WAY less mods than the JHM shop car.
