It uses the new Type C reversible plug type.
I like the Note 7 but I still hate/despise/want to throw the phone against the wall, virtual keyboard. I pre-ordered a physical one. Samsung is slow to release them though.
it’s fine. I was the same for the first 2 weeks. Then someone told me about swiftkey.
get swiftkey
install it
type FAST without looking at the screen and trust it and then check what you wrote. You’ll be pleasantly surprised.
I found one of my old blackberries the other day. When I tried to type I realised how crap physical keyboards are. I would DESTROY anyone typing on a physical keyboard blackberry today with me typing on my note.
the samsung keyboard isn’t as good as swiftkey
What happens is people like you convert…aren’t used to it…use the wrong keyboard…then get frustrated and go backwards (buy physical keyboard or sell new phone and buy another blackberry). It’s unfortunate.
Reality is that if you just stick with it for a couple of weeks and learn to trust that swiftkey will get it right, you’ll be fine. It gets better over time as well as it learns your errors and corrects them and it learns what words you like to use.
I installed it. Will let you know in two weeks lol
best of luck! Just have to trust it and give it some time.
Wow this thread is really helpful. I am looking at upgrading my old Galaxy 4S to a Note 7.
SwiftKey is pretty good Saki. +karma
Just got a Note 7 and I like it other than I keep hitting the multiple tabs button with the bottom of my thumb whenever I am searching through forums.
I keep hitting everything on the screen whenever I pick up my phone…
Note7’s are blowin up
ya that’s not good.
big apple event on Tuesday - think I’ll get the 7+
Why would you get it clochner? Don’t you have a 6+? And isn’t a 3.5" screen ideal?
When I got my note 1, I felt no need to upgrade for quite a while. Screens aren’t getting any bigger or better, storage was amazing and external storage meant you were always fine, etc. There was nothing about the newer phones that made me think ‘I need that new one’
I eventually did just because it was free (the cost of the upgrade was less than the value of the old phone) but now I have a note 3, and there’s a note 4,5,7 that I don’t think are any better.
This is the next problem for Apple and Samsung. Prying our great phones out of our hands to make room for new ones. This is when I think apple will run into a wall. Once everyone has upgraded out of the tiny useless phones everyone in this thread argued were ‘better’ than big phones, apple will find its tough to make people spend another $400-700 to upgrade. Other than those with money to burn and or a compulsion to have the latest greatest (but those people don’t spin the revenue wheel…the masses do) .
Haha 5.5" screen to be exact.
I’ll be watching on Tuesday to see whether an upgrade makes sense. I tend to be one of those people you reference who likes to have the latest gadget. If the 7+ really isn’t much of an improvement, I’ll reconsider. I have heard that Apple is waiting for 2017 (10th anniversary of the iPhone) for the really big change. That would bother me if I did upgrade this year. I like to have the latest technology, but upgrading after just one year is a bit much. We’ll see.
What a mess re: the Note 7, eh? I’m not sure how many have been sold, but that seems like a big charge Samsung will have to take this year.
nm
In for a 7+ in piano black. Apple Watch 1 is fine for me still.
^^ are you a photo guy? I don’t take many pictures, so there really isn’t enough new for me to justify upgrading at this time. I’m going to wait until next year. Frankly, I was underwhelmed with the presentation.
What a joke the 7 and 7+ are. The only people that are gonna upgrade are those that have to have every phone, enjoy sitting in line for several hours for a phone, and/or have a free upgrade coming up. I love how they made the wireless earbuds a separate $150 accessory too. On top of that, they’re the same shape, so they’re still gonna be uncomfortable.
Not to mention the likelihood of damaging or losing them when they fall out of your ears. Would anyone seriously consider working out with them? Just a hunch here, but I don’t think these are the future of headphones:

those need a tether
as I mentioned unless you’re paying a massive phone bill and get a highly subsidized upgrade every 2 years, theres no reason to upgrade really from a 6+ to a 7+ etc.
I had a note 1 and upgraded to Note 3 because it was effectively free. Sold my note 1 for $200, and paid $199 for the note 3. If you can do that, upgrade away all the time. You’d be crazy not to.
However if your plan doesn’t include upgrades ever 2 years and your pocket is harmed by upgrading, there’s very little reason to do so.
My iPhone 6 has a wonky battery. Seems to turn off at 15% now, doesn’t always charge overnight. It’s time to switch out.
I never think I need a better camera but I’m always pleased with the results.
the airpods aren’t meant for working out. they basically said so in the presentation. They have the new powerbeats3 which uses the same chip and is over the ear and tethered together, and they said these were for working out.
