That really sums it up. The other thing to add is the jhm tune will help you get better mileage and when you add stuff like a good exhaust n that helps even more.
The next step past this is headers, which I think are great. Sound great, less drone, better all around.
It’s a tough pill to swallow as you need an engine pull, and they are 2750 but with so many B67 guys pulling their motor for timing components that may not be so tough of a pill to swallow. Jhm was trapping 110-111 with headers and full bolt ons. That’s pretty fast. Stock RS4s trap in the 106-108 range, so as you can see a headers car is going to put a couple car lengths on a stock rs4.
Thank you for that! Been thinking about my mod list for the winter and cant wait. I was just telling Jimmy ill be full Bolt on N/A by April. Only other thing i can do after is Supercharger (or nitrous). I was curious what i should be expecting. It is a tough pill (header installation) and i wish i couldve had it done when i swapped engines, but its just something i really want. Sorry to hijack OP.
As for getting better gas mileage, Justin is technically right. Although mine has gone down because its hard not to take your foot off the gas! ;D
Headers is one of the best sounds ever… based on YouTube videos. I’d love to hear them in person
Saki is definitely right about the drone. I had some decent drone with the FI catless DPs at certain speeds at certain RPMs. The headers completely eliminated that. With cats, the headers and catback sound somewhat conservative until you mash the gas. But even then it’s not annoyingly loud or even close. I am non resonated too. I’m assuming catless would be a little different. Hopefully I’ll have some time to get some good videos for you guys.
Drone is way bad with the automatic cars. My headers killed all the drone while adding a ton of tq. It’s not to say the headers are more quiet it’s just the tone and the pulse are very tight.
