not to mention the R8s.

Hopefully they do an RS4 Sedan

nope. that ship has sailed. Avant only, Europe/Asia/South America only.

Good news for B7 rs4 owners in the US/Canada.

Who are you quoting? Who said Audi only has one RS model at a time???

something everyone always says to explain why ‘RS?’ won’t be getting made etc. Just a classic forum myth that gets passed from noob to noob.

Oh, never heard it before.

Actually it was never a myth, look back to the B5 RS4 it was the only RS car, then it was the C5 RS6 and then the B7 RS4 and then the C6 RS6. Typically the RS models only came out when a platform was 2 years from the end of it’s life.

Audi realized that customer wanted more hi powered cars and BMW with the M division and Merc with AMG were making a killing, with Audi wanting to be the most dominant luxury car manufacturer they had to do something about it - hence why the 1 RS model has gone out the window in the last couple of years and there has been an influx of them and it is also the reason why Audi is striving to have something like 28 different body styles on the market by 2015 (could be wrong on the year, but it is somewhere around there)

Yes it was a legend/myth as of 2006. There were multiple RS cars in production ever since then.

Unless you’re saying ‘it was true 8 years ago’ in which case, yes, you’re right…however people were saying this as recently as 12 months ago to explain that there would be no B8 RS4, for example.

Yeah I was saying that it was true 8 years ago…

If people didn’t realize that there was a blatantly obvious change in marketing/production 12 months ago then they are morons…

Also have you noticed that with having more RS models they are not as potent, before when there was only one they use to blow the completion out of the water, now they just kind of compete…

Audi actually had a press release about the change in philosophy a few years ago. I will see if I can dig it up.

I think it is a good thing they have multiple RS models out. There is something special feeling about the RS cars compared to a //M or a AMG. They just feel more proper for lack of a better word.

Sounds very Top Gearish. I can just hear Captain Slow saying this
