I believe they weigh almost exactly the same.
EDIT…audi.ca lists the S8 as 2105kg while the RS7 is 1995kg…so almost 250lbs.
Stage 2 RS7 on 104 tune will go 10.44@133.7mph.

Is the s8 the best of the buntch…how do these all match up…you posted in a thread mapping out the s6 amd s8 both v8tt 4.0 cars…now with the rs7 how will that stack up and hardware wise how are they different…you guys are doing some real impressive stuff…
RS7 I bet equals engine out put of the S8. The performance numbers look like two cars making the same power but a little weight advantage helping the RS7 outdo the S8
I believe the turbo intake design is the same layout as the S6/S7 on the RS7 and S8 is slightly different.

I drove my dads RS7 this morning on the empty freeways.

Is it just me or do others wish North America would get the RS6 vs the RS7?
I would have most likely already ordered if I could get the RS6 sedan vs RS7… Just not a big fan of the sportback or whatever it’s called look… No interest in an avant either…

Last exciting Audi wagon was the B7 S4 Avant. Audi sold 600 of them in 2008.
The B8 A4 wagon sales were crushed when the Q5 was launched. The AllRoad isn’t doing a damn thing.
So the majority have spoken. They don’t want wagons in America.

RS7, just like the panamera, is much more gorgeous in person. The photos don’t do it justice. I would say the enthusiasts are the ones who want the RS6, which is not enough compared to the general demand.

there’s a lowered A7 3.0TFSI in my neighbourhood that looks quite nice. It’s a huge improvement over stock.
The RS7 is a hair puffier in the front/back, is quite a bit lower than the A7, has the big mean wheels and the signature RS grille. It’s a noticeable improvement, but I think it needs a little more.
If you go back, the B5, B7, C5, C6, C7, B8 4/5 RS models…they all differentiate themselves from the A or S models, quite dramatically in most of those cases. The TTRS and RS7 though…they need something more. I think they both look awesome, don’t get me wrong. But I think they just need to preserve the visual pedestal a little more for the RS models.
