lol touché!
When I first got my car, I almost went the PES route. Very glad I didn’t jump on that grenade.
This thread is what had me almost on the hook:
http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php/340118-RS4-Supercharger-Project-Started-Pics-Updated-Pics-
Here’s the sales pitch I was given back then:
"Thanks for the inquiry.
To answer your questions about the RS4 supercharger kit :
The liquid to air intercooled PES kit runs $12,995.00 Labor to install the kit is 14 hours @ 105.95/hr
The methanol injection kit is $1,200, and requires 4.5 hours to install. We can also add a custom flush mount controller in the ash tray area, which looks amazing for $125.00.
Adding all of this together and including 2 dyno sessions, and tax ( parts only ) we are at $17,645.00 or so.
Also, not sure if you have thought about, or already installed exhaust on the car :
-MILLTEK EXHAUST : The valved non-resonated cat back exhaust is $2799.00 with oval tips, install is 2.5 hours or $265.00 Downpipes with high flow cats are $2199.00 and 10 hours to install ( $1059.50).
EXHAUST ON THE RS4 WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE. PROMISE.
We talk with PES almost daily, and their current run on the kits is getting sold very quickly. If we wanted to jump on these parts, I would suggest that we do so in the next two weeks. Otherwise I anticipate that the kits will be back ordered thru the fall.
In my honest opinion :
This is not a small amount of money by any means.
However, based on the results with ****’s car. I think the performance does justify the cost. I have driven ****'s RS4 at the track a few years ago, and while the performance was more than adequate, the naturally aspirated engine suffered greatly from atmospheric loss. After installing the SC kit, I was floored. My expectations were very very high, and the car exceeded them all. The kit made an additional 100 horsepower at the wheels, and there is more to come with updated tuning, and further dialing in the meth kit. The resulting changes have transformed this car to supercar territory. The sound, instant power, and ability to boil all 4 tires ( R compound !) from a standstill are breath taking. The supercharged acceleration is addictive. Once you get your foot into the throttle, you want to keep it there, and further chase the excitement, and acceleration, and exhilaration. The only thing I can compare this car to was the feeling I had first driving a Ferrari 360 Modena. Please excuse me for all of the dramatic references, but ****’s RS4 project has left me very inspired.
About us :
Not sure what you know about our shop, or our philosophy and approach to maintaining and modifying these vehicles.
We are very very confident in our skill set, our staff, and our equipment. All of our technicians and advisors are factory trained, and certified. We have all the specialty equipment, and diagnostic tools to service these vehicles at the highest standards. We feel that at any price, there is no better value for what we can provide our clients with. This company was started by a few of us who met at local dealerships. We are all passionate about VW, Audi, and Porsche brands. We drive, race, and love these cars. We have established our protocol and business practices from the ground up to ensure that we can perform the best work possible. Including paying our technicians a salary rather than a flat rate, to ensure that they have the opportunity to do their best work on each and every car they see.
These SC kits require a very talented skill set for proper installation. And we have literally written the book on the installs. We make every effort to maintain a clean, and factory-style look for the kits, and the meth injection. PES leans on us to help them further develop their product, and as such we are one of a handful of certified PES installers.
Let me know what you think."
And this, kids, is why so many people spend so much time holding vendors to a high standard. I (and many others) never would have seen PES/VF as the sham kits that they are if it weren’t for those that seek the truth
I’m a bit disappointed with the ‘I wish I was warned’ line
I warned THE FUCK out of the RS246 forum and A5oc where he posts, and he saw me post. I got attacked by half the fucking site as a result. Bunch of fucking losers. They’re on there arguing with me and supporting PES. Wake the fuck up.
Meanwhile PES is fucking bankrupt and using that fake address to fool people into thinking they still exist while they eek out a couple more supercharger kits out of drop shipped parts…from Tony’s mother’s house. No shit.
Fuck PES. Fuck RS246. Fuck all the people who don’t get it. I’m sick of helping. From now on if you’re not on this site, I don’t care if your car shoots a piston out the side of the engine and knocks your house down like a pile of jenga blocks after the jittery guy’s turn. Do your own fucking homework.
So funny
Just like everybody called it. Well the majority at least LOL
lmfao.
what weve got here is failure to communicate… some men u just cant reach.
I have seriously thought about making a book with just your posts.
They never fail to impress.
I know right!! “jenga after the jittery guys turn” lololololol. so many times im sitting here reading away and I come across a saki gem and just start howling, my wife looks at me like I have 2 heads.
I feel bad for this guy
To be honest I also dealt with PES without much support. When you call for help they are never on the lines, and when you email them its like they are never going to reply you back.
At the end of the day they just want your money, and not offer any support solutions.
I also feel sorry for Marzz, totally understand that he may have been warned but he is a really decent guy that has gone out of his way to help others during the modding of his RS5.
It amazes me how people can still scam others and sell the kit…
And it amazes me how people buy first and Google search later
He bought headers, even though we know they won’t do a lot on the car. Even though they were untested unproven, unnecessary.
When people warned him of that they were haters and jerk and other things.
He bought a pes blower even though even though the product didn’t exist yet and there were no proven results or anything… Just ‘it’s a Whipple!’.
Try this out. Google search “pes tuning”
The FIRST link is this thread :
Are you telling me that you give pes $15,000 for a kit for your $80,000 car, without doing any searching?
He lost money and his car because he didn’t do his own homework. And when someone did his homework for him and presented the facts to him, he scoffed and went ahead anyway.
A guy like that won’t he helped. He will pm me in 6 months and say ‘shit, you were right’ as will some other people on rs246 when they see what has happened with pes. In fact I have had pms from a couple of rs246 members already, apologizing for shit they said when joining the herd to discredit me when I warned them about pes.
Sure marzz is a nice guy, and sure he doesn’t deserve to get fucked over but as long as you don’t do your homework and ignore the people who have, you shouldn’t be surprised when your car ends up in pieces on eBay.
People can still scam because idiots defend companies like PES. Just in the last few months guys were defending them on AZ in the RS4 section.
They call guys like Saki a hater and say guys like me are just trying to start shit. NO, ACTUALLY we are trying to stop someone from wasting tens of thousands of DOLLARS.
I agree…fuck those fucking fucks that don’t want to listen or believe in the track record PES has shown us.
10 hours to install down pipes on an RS4?
I feel like that guy was more than adequately warned, he just didn’t want to listen. And then was going nuts as a little PR boy for them after it was done. He still hasn’t owned up that PES blew the motor just like he’d been told before it happened.
Most ironical part of all this is the RS5 motor is probably built even better than the RS4 with even better computer management systems. So it just shows how hard PES failed to still blow this motor in only a matter of months.
ahahahhaaa too funny. Funny, because its true LOL
I just realized why I never bore of these PES install threads. They all follow dramatic structure perfectly
Wow really sad to see this happen to an RS5. Just can’t imagine why anyone in their right mind would risk such an awesome car with POS. There’s so much information out there warning people about this company.
+1 on preparing a book of sak’s greatest hits

lmfao!!!
