Primetime, question on your paddles

Hey, he’s beaten a Gallardo!

Ok fine Hokey, I’m done, I’m a loyal subject of ‘the King’ here, lol. Do me a favor though, consider making your next thread start out on your APR V2 tune, or your visit to the strip or road course, or hell a good kill story - not just customer complaints. I’m sure there is something else you have to share!

Hey there, watch it on the Hokey v. Hokie, that’s the biggest insult yet

I’m sorry if most of my threads are issues I’ve been having, I’m just more of a passive message board reader unless I have a question I’m looking for an answer to. The APR thread was just venting and I agree I probably went a bit overboard but I was pissed. I apologize for that. I’ll try to see if I can come up with anything to add that you may deem constructive

Oh, and I’m most definitely not complaining about the primetime paddles, those things rock! The car should have come stock that way but primetime did his best to make up for Audi’s gaffe!

oh shit, I almost forgot about that. See, he has done so much shady shit over the years, lied on so much stuff, helped scammers scam (kevkev anyone?) that I forgot his most recent claims…that he ‘pulled on’ both a Gallardo and an F430 lol. What a toolbox.

he lied about his track time with his B6, said he ran a 13.1 or something but only had a vid/slip for a 13.6. iirc 91gl was at that track the same day and confirmed he never saw anything better than the mid-high 13…

it must be easy to lie online for him, he does it everytime he posts when he claims anything to do with ‘his’ cars

the 12.6 his dad ran in a bone stock rs4

yup, that’s another one where he couldn’t produce the slip.

The list of lies is as long as my arms. And I’m 6’5".

So kevkev really didn’t run an 11.8x and auditude isn’t running 100 octane when he goes to the strip? LOL

OK back on topic! LOL

Hokie, I just checked mine out and the sound is the same but more pronounced if you pull from the top or bottom hard or easy vs pulling very close to the stock paddle itself… however, IMO this is a result of the lack of pressure near the stock paddle which muffles the clicking sound the paddles make not the geometry of the extensions… I also inspected my stock paddles and they show no ill affect and I have had several different sets on my car, granted I don’t drive as much as most… So, I don’t think there is an issue but if you feel differently let me know and will see if we can do anything to correct it… Let me know…

well, I don’t doubt that auditude is running pump gas. He’s running a race file though…basically the timing on the ReVo 93 file is what APR would deem appropriate for race gas lol.

fuck your paddles. Give me some for my RS4 so I look teh cool.

primetime, appreciate you checking on your car. It’s the weirdest thing, it definitely doesn’t happen everytime, only when I pull a bit too hard, but I am able to recreate it fairly easily. Below are a few quick vids (one on each paddle) showing what I’m talking about.

yeah dude that’s your car’s way of saying ‘don’t be a moron’

you’re fucking up where the OEM paddles conect inside the car by reefing on it like that. Just as you don’t put excess stress on your shift lever or turn signal, don’t do it to your paddles. The fact that primetime’s paddles hold on while you do that is pretty impressive. I thought the adhesive would have given up before the OEM paddles would but you’ve proved primetime’s shit is good lol.

On another note, I noticed when I take a hammer to my knee, it makes a weird cracking noise, and leaves me doubled over in vomitous pain. Anyone else have this?

Never tried it with a hammer, but I have kneed a trailer hitch a few times with the same result…

Yeah, trust me I normally don’t yank on the things like that! It’s happened from time to time in spirited driving when I’ve gotten a little over aggressive with the paddles, was just curious if I was the only one. Evidently I was!

The paddles are impressive as hell and that two sided tape is like glue, don’t think those things are ever coming off.

Nice dig on the hammer  While I haven’t attempted that one, I sure have kneed enough damn baby toys in the last year to leave me with a permanent limp.

Hokie, Yeah that is a little harder “yank” than I had tried or envisioned… Not sure I can come up with a “fix”… I wonder if the stock paddles would make that sound if you just yanked on them that hard…

My “primetime” paddles work great. I don’t pull from the ends unless it’s really necessary. I bet they are great for autocross

Yeah, figured I was just pulling them to hard. Like I said, it rarely happens, I was just curious if others had encountered it! I’ll go back to enjoying my paddles now
