Bought perfect condition JHM RS4 catback off of an AZ forum member: (downpipes in the mail, thanks Drew @ JHM!)
Anyone else have issues with these stupid Ziza LED plate lights? This is my second set, same problem. Already contacted ECS. They made good on the first set failing.

It was, but not even for 1,000 miles according to the seller. The condition backs up his claim, it’s really nice. He has a cab, I guess the rear bumper of the cabrio tapers in towards the sides, and as a result, the tips of the exhaust sat out a bit too far for his liking, so he went MTM. Met him in person and picked this up, real nice guy!
He kept the downpipes though, to mate up to the MTM catback, so I had to order a set from JHM. Ordered with V-bands and cats. Very excited to get this put on the car, I’ve wanted this exhaust for a long time.

Buy OEM A5 plate lights and wire in resistors to get rid of the light. Mount the resistors behind the carpet in the trunk. Easy.

I almost missed this. Nice pick up. You should post this in the main section. Sucks about the plate lights. I was thinking about getting some for my S4 but I dont want a bulb error light on the dash. I know the one light burnt out but if you do get it working let me know ifyou get a light on the dash for the LED light back there

In other news, my car is breaking up under load. No CEL. Is that plugs/coils? I remember doing these at some point, my gut tells me around 60k miles or so, I just hit 93k, and my car is going to Eurotech for the 95k in a couple weeks when my JHM downpipes arrive.
As for the plate lights - they worked for over a year with no bulb out warning, then bang, like clockwork. Same thing happened to the first set. I may take ktish’s advice and just get the A5 ones and wire up resistors. I figured, hey these have them built in, and Ziza is a decent brand… but they are prob just made in China junk.
I have the ECS lights and only had an issue once with it going out. Other than that its been fine. and no bulb out warnings either when they are installed.

No issues with my ECS ones at all. Really improves the rear end of the car at night, IMO. The resistors are built into the assembly, so no bulb out warning. ECS is also really good about replacing those if you do have an issue though.
Second that about ECS. They immediately sent out a new set the first time this happened after I gave them my order number and told them the issue. Funny thing is, the guy said “yeah, this seems to be a common problem with these.”
Am I taking crazy pills, or do you guys also find it odd that this Ziza company can’t get a simple license plate light right? I mean if this is a “known” issue, wouldn’t the manufacturer make changes to the product? I mean I’m gonna have to do the same thing in a year from now when this happens again :-\

I agree. Why would I want police to be able to better see my lisence plate?

Haha you guys are funny. The lights do modernize the look of the rear at night a lot though. Plus, all the cops already know me by name around here anyways lol
If cops want to see my plate then they will see it. Usually if a cop is trying to check your plate your already pulled over. ALSO, you draw more attention when you have less light or light out because 1 it looks a lot more suspicious and 2 you can get pulled over.
It really does make the car look that much more modern.
Justin im extremely anal with having warning signs (bulbs out). The plate lights are easy to install and wont give it. ALSO might I suggest also picking up these to go in and replace the shitty OEM screws. I got them from Loews.
