^ edit: punch
I’m shocked belfort is still fighting
It’s funny because for Brazilians the gracie revolution was huge, but once the stand up guys started working on their takedown defence the pure BJJ guys became less effective.
Belfort was one of the great hopes… A BJJ guy who could stand with anyone. Well almost anyone. Anyway here fifteen years later he’s still fighting…and is probably due a title fight. Crazy.
Weidman should dominate him.
It’s particularly sad to see the end of the curitiba and Chute Box era. Wanderlei, the Ruas, Nogueiras, (what are the odds of two sets of twins fighting at the highest level) and now Anderson. All done.
that’s funny
thenewbruno and I had a bet about a 70" $40,000 Sony TV. It was a few years ago. He said 'I bet in 3 year it down to s $10,000" I countered with " I bet it will be closer to $2500 than $10,000"
Sure enough it was around $3000 for a 70" Sony . I think now it’s not even made, but if it was, it would be around $1800 for a quality LED Sony a.k.a. Samsung.
yeah the only one left from chute box is a chick fighting in an irrelevant division. the way they trained likely didn’t help. though Pele Landi-Jons is going to fight 1 last time in WSOF in a few months.
regarding sapp bailing out, he has a history of it, but cro cop had a brutal left straight and broke his orbital bone. he did some damage over the years

Sapp was a big baby in the ufc. Speaking relative to that world of crazy fucking killers of course
I’m always impressed by how quickly the price pluments. I bought a 20" lcd for my desktop in 2007 for maybe $500… I then bought a 27" led backlit lcd in 2012 for $190 iirc
Yeah, you can’t be the first guy to buy this stuff unless you have money to burn.

That’s crazy. Back when I used to watch this as a kid the only cars they ever gave away were cars that I would sell after winning them.

She won’t be able to afford the tax.

nobody takes the car. They always take the cash.
I had a friend who won big on there. Won the showcase which included all kinds of shit including a $25,000 pick up truck.
At the end of the show, he had about $40,000 in prizes. They said he can take the prizes or take a cash payment instead. The cash payment was something like 70% of the value of the prizes that were announced. So he was down to just under $30,000
Then the US government witholding tax was around 20 or 25%.
He left with a cheque from CBS television studios for $24,000. He got back some of the tax when he filed his return (he was a student and wouldn’t have paid the witholding rate from dollar 1 so they in effect overtaxed him).

My all-time favorite fighter. Fortunately got to see him fight live before retirement.
