So I recently replaced my front rotors and pads and now it seems I need to replace the rears too. I realize I should have done them together but I thought (wrongly) the rears had more in them, oh well. So the question is do I bother to bed in the rears? I suppose it wouldn’t be a big deal to do this as it really only means bedding in the fronts again. But bother/no bother?
you need rear pads and rotors? Or just pads? The rotors last forever in the rear.
Well they were lipped so I got new ones. OE rotors in the rear are actually pretty frigging cheap so I figured why not.
That’s a good question I’d be interested in knowing the answer to also… if it were anal retentive me, i would probably ‘semi-bed’ the rears (if that makes sense). I probably wouldn’t go through a full bedding process but enough to maybe give it a good seating on the rotor. ???
Lol, I was joking to a buddy that I’d blast down the road in reverse and do a few backwards threshold brakes…
This sounds amusing. Make sure you take a video…
