replacement starter battery

If I’m not mistaken one must also change the cars battery cable clamps to the through bolt type since the battery has flush poles with bolt holes for holding the car’s cables?

Braille has special posts that you screw on to make them like normal terminals.

I have left-over posts from when I had Braille/Deka LWB on my STi… if anyone needs them.

That’s awesome.

Is it just me or is the battery in the op $2300 dollars?

Also has anyone in a cold state tried the one that wolf posted?

If it’s starting his 4.2 S4 for over a year that’s pretty impressive. Although I don’t know where he lives…

I’m in North Carolina…no one I know of in a cold state has picked one up. Someone should try it…

Very nice - you just lost the equivalent of a small child out of the back!

Is it $2300 retail. Amazon Prime sells it for $1550 free shipping, and in some states no tax. They also get you the part in 24-48 hours after you click buy.

The trick with these batteries if it’s very cold is to get some current flowing you through them. So you’d turn on the headlights for 15 seconds. Then turn them off. Then turnover the car.

You can always keep one of these in the car for emergency. I bought one the other day. It holds the charge for 1 year, and can start up to 20 cars on one charge! I tried it the other day on some of my dads cars that have been sitting for months with dead batts, they all jumped like nothing.

Walmart has them on sale right now for $60, Amazon also has it but no expected ship date.

This battery continues to work flawlessly. I leave the car for 3-4 weeks at a time and it fires right up.
