This was an RS4 only run that Kevin (Fluffhead) organizes. This one was from 2011. I actually had to bail halfway through after we stopped for lunch because I had a crazy thud noise during every hard stop and hard acceleration or launch…which is basically 90% of the driving once we get to the mountain with the twisties. I didn’t know it at the time but it ended up being two loose subframe bolts. One ended up being completely stripped so even if I figured it out on the spot I couldn’t have fixed it properly.
Was totally bummed that my day was cut so short, the weather was perfect, the ride was great and we were all having a lot of fun. In manhattan (the starting point), I think it took all of 5 minutes once we started before NY’s finest were on us like white on rice lol. Between the quick tunnel run we all did and a few blasts between major blocks - they weren’t happy.
There are other videos from this same run, some with some pretty decent exhaust recordings. I used to have the raw footage with no music overlays with ALL of the exhaust notes but the vid was massive before editing and I tossed it. The guy who edited these vids is named Chris and he is in the (I think) Avus silver RS. The only silver one in the vids.

Ranging from OEM to miltek to Tubi and some others too that I can’t recall.
At the time I had the Tubi’s (they are axle back mufflers only) with fully gutted OEM DP’s. I didn’t know it at the time but my passenger side DP had a leak where it met the manifold and it altered the sound of the exhaust a bit.
Once I get my car back to normal I will be excited to do this run again.
To give you an idea of how far people traveled for this annaul event:
NY, NJ, CT, MASS, North Carolina, PA, Virginia and…TEXAS. Yes you read that correctly. Fucking hard core imo. I may have missed a few other new england states by accident.
