Where’s your apr ! Stu is staying until there’s the petrol light on he is adamant there’s an 11.2
lol, I would be happy with 11.3!
I’m just happy it’s proving how good it is
Woohoo keep us posted!
What’s the weather like over there today?
im not there so dont know, but in silverstone its quite overcast but still dry. santapod can have its own little micro climate though so god knows.
Assuming it’s 427 ft above sea level, 49 degrees, barometric pressure being 31, and humidity being about 75%, I get this from drag times.
Density Altitude: -1245 feet
Relative Density: 103.7 %
I did three passes. All low 1.7’ 60’ ( 1.7058,1.7436,1.7181). But unfortunately second gear just didn’t happen, or 4th for that matter. I wasn’t losing 10ths, I was losing seconds trying to engage gears. I had to wait for the revs to drop right down before it would shift. I didn’t expect it to be so bad, I did a few hard pulls on the road and although it needed some force the gears did go through, on the track no way. One day I will write the full clutch saga. At the moment its not over. If Stu could put a 1.7 in front of his runs I think he would run very low 11’s. I ran Toyo T1R’s at 25 psi Stu was running Mich’s and they offered him no grip, I dropped his pressures down from the 42 he was running to 25 and he ran the 11.42/125.11 but he still ran a slow 1.88 60’. His front wheels were tramping right of the deck… Although I was pleased with my 60’s the track was crap it wasn’t prep’d once all day, the day was cold which wasn’t good for tyre heat or general grip (although good for power). I think I could get into the 6’s. Tomorrow is a ’ Test and Tune day’ and the track will be top notch, no point in me going, not sure of Stu’s plans as I left before the end of day… We have quite a lot of footage which will be posted over the next few days together with time slips.
that`s damn strong. A couple of pages back when the 11.7 at 124 time went up, i believe someone predicted 11.4 at 125 ;D
thanks for bringing some excitement to the RS4 world TTS and MRC
p.s. when you get a moment, please post up some info like octane, full weight etc to satisfy the inevitable questions
My S5’. Full interior, removed spacesaver, 98 oct gas (ron). Milltek and de cat. 19 inch std wheels T1R tyres.
DJ’s RS4 was running full interior, not sure if the spare was removed. 98 oct. decat etc, Sure he will tell you the full spec. same as last time.
the rs4 doesnt have a spare wheel, just a can of spunk in the boot
lol spunk in your trunk
Car ran with our 98 octane fuel full interior stock wheels with Michelin pilot super sports! Stuart must weigh about 85kg’s! I’m happy with it still think it may go a tad quicker , once it’s had it’s makeover (colour change new interior and new wheels) I think I’ll stick the nitrous kit back on and try get into the high 10’s not sure if it’s possible running full weight though! What you guys really need is a tts kit in the us for you all to experience its a funny power delivery there’s no whack in the back it just feels like and extremely quick na car until you hit 5.5k and it’s like vtec kicks in and your pinned into your seat
congrats on your time, can you post a full modlist? I know milltek and tts, but anything else? Lots of shocked people interested elsewhere.
Sure, can I asked why there shocked? In a good or bad way?
Tts supercharger kit Mrc stage 3 remap
Milltek de cat downpipes and cat back
Mrc cold air feed and itg panel filter
Kwv3 coil overs hr Arb’s front and rear
034 control arm kit
Jhm short shifter
LOBA Motorsport 650+ clutch (was made specifically for my car but they now sell it)
Audi ceramic brakes
Stock wheels with Michelin SS rubber!
I think that’s it I may have missed a few things, I plan on trying the supersprint headers water meth and I’ll possibly run nitrous again and once Mrc have finished there testing of their full 3" exhaust system I’ll also run that, as far as I’m aware it lost torque on the dyno when they tried it so there testing x and h pipes and a few other things on it!
great, thanks. Sounds like its going to be quite the machine once its finished.
Their shock, I gather, stems from never expecting such a strong time from an Audi V8. Lots of people dont like the 4.2 and dont want to see them do well it seems, I think thats why all of us here (JHM supporters and otherwise) are so excited to see your car do terrifically well. 10’s on a stock motor would really turn the perceived dominance in the Audi scene on its head.
If you have the opportunity, I think everyone over here would love to see a full writeup on your build.
For sure once it’s finished I’ll happily do a full write up with pictures of the work! I think most people know I ran the pes m90 then m112+nitrous it’s been a long journey to get the car driving the way I want it 2 years to be exact but I’m delighted it’s now there! I honestly believe i could hit the high 10’s with full interior if I add the nitrous and I’d imagine with the way the Rotrex blower works running water meth should see some gains along with the exhaust etc I don’t think I’m being over optimistic. I always said from day one I’d keep pushing until I blew the engine up lol
seriously dude, 11.42 @ 125 in street form on pump gasis seriously impressive. Shows how solid the RS4 motor really is, and considering the car looks like stock, it’s pretty hilarious.
