RS6 engine in the old S6

Don’t forget that there are RS6s in Mexico…you can buy one and import parts. Shipping wouldn’t be absurd.

Not as easy as you would think, i too explored the RS6 drivetrain idea… on top of that i did need some RS6 parts it was extremely difficult to even find contacts (Honest contacts) in mexico.

Hahhaah… I LOL’d

lol yeah gave it a whirl nothing popped yet its weird tons of stuff from Germany and Europet… I found a hella cheap hydro locked flood car interior lights worked dash was lit up in pic, but who know what all else could be wrong. suppose I could strip it bare and build an RS6 from the ground up. lol might be fun as long as the body is in good shape. My luck Id have the only RS6 in the world with holes rusted through the floor.

Dude, go buy your S6. The first rule of modding is

car BEFORE mods !!!

God All these rules: can’t make stupid post about stuff that’s already been tried. Can’t make weird nonsensical Exhaust vids. Can’t Claim you car does 10 seconds in a 1/4 mile with out time slips. Can’t Mod your car before you buy it. It’s like you are to run a respectable forum where everything makes sense or something.

LOL

Despite what I said earlier, that was actually just a suggestion, not a rule

Good luck finding the car. There are lots of great deals on them out there

While doing research on a few things I Came across this.

Thought it might be of use.

Did you try a used car lot?

I was looking for something very specific. I wanted a g35x right miles right price.

I was just joking since G35’s are a dime a dozen. Glad you found your S6, let’s see it!

Exactly. But the good ones if there is such a thing is hard to find.

Oh Scott. Deer whistles FTW

Lol Comparatively speaking yes even awd g35x’s are a dime a dozen. Considering that there maybe a couple dozen or so 07-11 s6’s available for purchase under 20k in like you know America.

Is the R8 V10 exactly the same as the RS6 V10?

No, not even close. One is a 5.2 and one is a 5.0.

5.2L would be the S6?

lol there’s no S6 in that question

RS6 and R8

RS6 5.0 twin turbo V10
R8 5.2 naturally aspirated V10

GRS6, welcome to AudiRevolution!

I know you are looking to purchase an S6, so I’m going to assign you some Required Reading

First, the S6 v10 Info Dump. Everything you ever need to know should be in that thread

On AZ you were asking about the S6 to RS6 drivetrain conversion, and I told you its not something that makes financial sense. Once you get your S6, if you want more power, then you should follow an established path. Check out my build thread for more details.

If you exhaust all the NA mods, and you still want more, then you could look into a custom supercharger. But, at that point, youll already have tens of thousands of dollars into the car. So, start with getting the car.

I didn’t realize the S6 and R8 had the same (or similar) engines. I figured R8 Spyders would have a V10 TT. Wow, that’s interesting. Is RS6 the biggest engine sized car they’ve developed besides the R8 Le Mans?

The largest Audi engine is the 6.0 v12 available in the Q7 and A8.

As I suggested earlier, read the threads that I posted. It will get you caught up to speed with the level of knowledge that everyone else is at around here.
