S4 Main catalytics ...

Hi guys

Do any of you got a pic ( inside) of the main cat? Here I found 1 , the main cat look its has some “walls” inside and its look very very restrictive

I got 2 cats from a cayenne turbo S (2013) from a friend they fit without probs under de S4 I will put this instead of the oem.

Found the answered , mod if you want delate this thread.

If you take a look at the first pic its clear that the hole on the left its the “entrance” of the air , the pics fools me for the light and the angle … basically its the same as the pre-cat and empty can ,but not as smooth…

??? are you taking off the OEM cats and welding those on, in its place or…

I guess the awkward shape of main cats with added hollowness, are the reason why piggies offer that metallic rasp you will hear when you throttle hard.

Actually I got 2 oem cats from the Porsche turbo for free , They look very very good ( taking pics tomorrow) , The idea is to keep cats ( emissions over here its a bitch), So I will place the cayenne cats over the stock S4 and make the catback etc.

i bought them that way; i have no clue how to weld so i would never try.

Those welds would look ugly if it was done by a pro too. There are lots of contaminants and crap soaked in after a few ten thousand miles.
