S6 V10 JHM tune

Any more trips to strip? Just checked above and reminded me how very impressive running 13.2 with only tune, carbon clean and spacers

Assume this was on 93 octane? I’m willing to bet with filters, crank pulley, tcu you would be at 13.0-13.1 easy, add in the exhaust and lwvfront brakes and maybe 12.6-12.8 is possible with great conditions on 93.

Fastest so far was all the Jhm mods minus the tcu tune at 12.9 on Cali piss right?

We’ve got an Import Takeover trailer dyno and trackday coming up; I’ll probably do both. Carbon clean, injectors, coils and plugs on the 18th, a couple weekends before the even. I’ll post results in my thread.

Unfortunately, NJ weather keeps my local tracks closed during the winter, opening day is actually tomorrow for the one I visit, but they won’t race until temps reach 45, and it was 17 this morning. As soon as they open, i will be there.

I’m currently waiting for my JHM exhaust, hoping to see that in the next couple of weeks. After the exhaust install, I’ll get some track numbers out, looking to get closer to the 12 second barrier. Next plans will be for TCU tune, SAI delete with lw balancer install and flow tested injectors installed over the summer, and if maintenance issues don’t curse my plans, lw front rotors, lw wheels will round out my plans for the year.

As far as I know, best JHM time was 12.9, not sure of fuel used. My own target for 2017 is 12.8, but anything under 13 would be ok with me. After some 93 octane runs, I’d like to see what happens if i get my hands on some 100+ octane fuel. Looking at VP’s 101 street unleaded.

Great idea get those big maintantence itums out of the way. The car will thank you for it and probably run faster due to it.

Your times currenly are super impressive. I think once you get the JHM exhaust on the car will reward you with a solid 12. Add in the rest of the parts your talking about like LW wheels and crank pulley with the LW rorots. I think we will have a new V10 record on our hands. I know JHM only used 91 octane for there runs so getting better fuel will get you better results.

Agreed! For just the mods rocman has repeatable 13.2x is very solid.

I’d like to see what the crank pulley, heater bypass, carbon clean, functioning IM, IM spacers, ECU, filters, and TCU might net with 93. Basically everything but the exhaust might do.

We all know the ecu tune and exhaust are the big gainers though, add in the LW parts and the car seems to perform even better. And no doubt, no other mods and a proper exhaust will net high 12s, I guess time will tell.

Hell who knows, on.a perfect night with all the bolt ons sans headers and LW parts I bet repeatable 12.6-12.8 is doable. All bench racing until the tracks open right.

IMO once you are doing mid 12s with these pretty simple boltons that’s very respectable for such a heavy car, and then it really starts to hang with the e60 M5, older e63, the new s6/s7, and cars like the panamera GTS.

Very cool stuff we are seeing with the v10s keep up the good work rocman and the rest of the v10 crew.

Was checking the 1/4 Database No new S6 results. I think we are behind on a few runs yours and that 12 second run. I did not see any of them posted.

They are not, gotta post up the required info in that thread and I think two slips for it to be added

Well get on it already! We need some representation up there Gotta promote the platform!!! ;D

Paging rocman and crew

I haven’t looked at the 1/4 mile times in quite a while, I’ll get mine posted this weekend.

JHM is having a BBQ/track day on April 22nd at Sacramento Raceway. If I can get my shit together by then, I’ll try to make it there so I can finally get some trap times for my car

Sweet looking forward to seeing the results!!!

yes x2. Let the JHM guys know your coming. They are really customer friendly when it comes to that stuff. They will make sure to take care of you and most of the time if you let them know your interested they will help you stage the car and give you tips on running the car if you have never been to the track.

oh and any times you want posted on the AR 1/4 mile timelist you need to post a time slip and modifications in this thread.

Its the 1/4 mile notification thread.

What are you guys doing about getting the jhm tune if you don’t have a “jhm dealer” in your area? Download and install with their cable? Mail the ecus to them? Im in Alabama and no one really close…Apr is about an hour away but id rather not after all ive learned about jhm’s tune

I think all of us would say the same thing. DON"T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE APR TUNE THE JHM TUNE IS LIKE 50X better.

The great thing about the JHM tune is you can contact JHM Via email or on there website and from there you order a tune select the non local dealer option and select flash at home. It’s a few dollars more but you buy the cable and you can flash at home in the comfort of your comfortable cloths at your leasure when ever its a good time for you. JHM updates are free but if you down the road get a JHM upgrade like no cats or SAI delete you can just update your flash again at home.

If you have someone local that has a JHM cable you can use that cable as well. I know a few of us have lent our cables to local people when they want to flash.

I did the flash at home option, had no issues. Took me about two hours from connecting the battery charger to starting the car. I took my time, was in no hurry, I’m sure it could be done much quicker. You’ll need to download some software, but very easy stuff. The instructions JHM gives are very good. I had some questions during the process and the support was excellent.

Yeah im leaning towards doing it at home…thanks for all the input

Smart you will be happy you did.
