I was really surprised at the auto show. I asked a really shockingly hot girl at the Audi display whether or not there would be a Q5 TDI anytime soon (I thought she was a model) and she instantly responded that there would…and it would be in Q3 2013. Then she mentioned a few other Audis in diesel form that we would see. Most surprising was A6 3.0 TDI. So I reckon they’ll deliver the goods eventually…just going to take time. You can get diesel everything from Mercedes. When Audi is selling more cars (like Mercedes), they’ll be able to do ‘low production’ offerings that are still profitable.

cool, I was thinking 1 day would be enough for me, it’d keep me from drinking excessively and getting sunburnt to the typically cooked lobster hue. not sure I’ll do H2O this year though.

Comfort wise and looks the B8 is light years ahead of the B6 period… I dont even care for speed in that type of car it gets better mpg and is a better daily driver. Your not doing anything more in either car then daily driving it.

unless you are coasting down a hill, the b8 isnt that much better on gas. you litterally have to be barely touching the throttle or it sucks it down. and mine is stock. my b6 with longtubes and tune could do 18 mpg easy, sometimes being real light on the throttle i could see 20. my b8 is not much better especially being DI and two less cylinders. My mpg meter tells me in the b8 that i have 300 until empty and ill realistically get 180. at least my b6 didnt lie to me, it knew what it was.
interior might look nicer but in terms of feel and material is much cheaper in quality overall. in a daily driven car which my b8 is not anymore (my underpowered, archaic mk4 gti vr6 does 8 mpg’s better per mile than it) the b6’s interior is a much nicer place to be. much better made, much sturdier feeling, the b8 doesnt compare. i own(ed) both, so please stop trying to tell me about my cars lol
i want to come back so bad. i miss the 4.2. i just can not love this b8. rs4 with jhm tune did it for me. what an animal. revving to 8k, sounds so good, looks soooo good. i need that in my life.

friend had one and when he went on his 3 week honeymoon, he left me the keys. I put 1500 miles on it. Awesome fun car.
seriously, my favorite car i have ever owned. its so honest, it doesn’t pretend to be anything. i bought it for 2k bucks in october and put 6k miles on it. i fucking love it
I will tell my friend that. He drives a Cayenne Turbo S now and I reckon he had more fun in the Mk4.
i wouldnt doubt it. i love cheap cars, if they suck they suck, big deal it was cheap. if they turn out to be awesome, you just made out.
and unlike the typical mk4 owner who stances his car with 300 dollar coilovers, i have slowly began replacing everything mechanical in the car. all new brakes, suspension components, timing chains, gaskets, water pump, etc etc. its not a looker but its perfect in its own way. i try to do a good amount of it myself too. i did the chains last sunday. took me a day but the satisfaction you get makes it worth it
