Stanley Cup 2013

Not trying to be “original”. It’s a Chicago thing. Started with the Cubs flying the W flag after a win at Wrigley.

So 4 Canadian teams out of 7 made the playoffs… But 2 are already eliminated and the leafs are on thin ice

I am aware…GO HAWKS!

So I guess the bruins were stuck in TO last night: http://www.cbssports.com/nhl/blog/eye-on-hockey/22229734/plane-troubles-keep-bruins-in-toronto-before-mondays-game-7

Twitter responds with some hilarity… (x-post from reddit.com/r/hockey)

Wow Leafs, just wow. Total and complete collapse.

that sucked dick

so depressing lol. I can’t leave the couch…

Not a huge hockey guy, but I get into it during the playoffs. Eagerly awaiting Chicago-Detroit on Wednesday.

Ultimately sucks for the Stanley Cup winner - I mean it’s a shortened season. Obligatory asterisk, just like last year with the Heat…

You wanna talk about total and complete collapse? Caps aka Washington Chokitals

Yeah no kidding, absolute capitulation vs the Rangers

Go panthers! ;D Heck they couldnt even win the first pick in the upcoming draft…

How about the Bruins fellas?! What a freakin game!

An early playoff exit for the Caps is pretty much an annual thing these days.

Ron McLean would be proud of you for that one lol

Haha unintentional

Didn’t even think about the fact that a bunch of you guys would be Leafs fans… I love hockey so I’m glad I found this thread. Best sport in my opinion.

I’m sure you Toronto guys hate the Bruins right now, but I bet we could agree on that being one hell of series! What a battle back and forth. The Bruins got extremely lucky in pulling that off.

Any predictions for the Rangers v Bruins series starting tonight? I think the B’s have their hands full again and will probably take 7 games to win it.

Bruins on a roll against the Rangers. Looks like they could make short work of them.

Anyone think the Wings have a shot at beating the blackhawks now that they evened the series up in pretty decisive fashion?

I have been wanting to cheer for the wings the entire time in the thread. The wings need to keep there focus. They have a strong team and over all I can see them doing well if…the blackhawks dont beat up on them… Hate to say this…I think the blackhawks folded more then the wings shined…just dont know if detroit has it in the tank…fingers crossed

The hawks are not considered a physical team by any stretch and won’t really “beat up” the wings or any team for that matter. They are on the lower end of the league in hit totals.

They play a similar game to the wings, puck possession and quick in and out of their defensive zone. Hawks will prevail though. But I still am leery of Crawford. He can look great but he can also let in some ridiculously weak goals that could rattle his confidence.

Glad to see another Wings fan. I spent my first 22 years in MI, before moving out to Boston.

The Wings have a long way to go in this series, but nothing is impossible. They play very fundamentally sound hockey. It’s crazy to see the difference in their game compared to watching the Bruin’s play.

It was beat up in a physical fashion so much as beat them to the puck intercept passes capitalize on puck posiosion
